New Yorkers Tell Police ‘De-Funders’ To Stick It Where The Sun Don’t Shine

Although it may not be happening in your neck of the woods (we hope), Democrats all over American continue to push the “defund the police” movement.

It seems ludicrous that any American city would pass laws that slash police budgets, resulting in a loss of cops. But that is happening in many major cities. Radical city councils are cutting funding for PDs. That has led to cops being laid off or quitting–and (as we all expected) a surge in violent crime.

In deeply-blue New York City, idiotic Mayor de Blasio cut the police budget almost immediately. As the anti-cop sentiment spread throughout the country, the Democrat took a billion dollars from the NYPD’s budget. Not a good idea, for a city of 8 million people.

I don’t have to tell you what resulted in this massive cut to funding. New York City has experienced rising crime since then. It hasn’t seen levels like this in a very long time. Just imagine, the city is still reeling from prolonged COVID lockdowns. Now, businesses fear reopening because of spikes in crime.

Yet Democratic leaders continue to claim this is the right thing to do.

A pollster asked New Yorkers how they felt about the “defund” movement. The left won’t like the results.

In Deep Blue New York City, a whopping 72 percent of likely voters want more cops on the street, according to a NY1/Ipsos poll…

A full 46 percent said crime and violence were the “main problems facing New York today.” Second place, at 31 percent, was affordable housing, followed by COVID (30 percent).

In a massive blow to America’s fascist Woke Gestapo, only 20 percent — remember this is deep-blue New York City we’re talking about — chose “racial injustice, and even fewer (LOL), 12 percent, chose “police reform.”…

It seems like we finally have a bipartisan issue most Americans can unite around: putting more cops on the streets.

In a poll that was 64% Democrat, an amazing 72% of voters said they wanted more cops in NYC. Only 20 percent of those asked thought “racial injustice” was a major problem and only 12% demanded “police reform.”

If you know anything about New York, this shouldn’t surprise you. Even though they stubbornly vote for Democrat candidates, the city loves their cops. And I mean they love their cops. New Yorkers from all walks of life have a great respect for the men and women who protect their city and communities.

After all, these are the same people who defended them on 9/11.

How could any New York leader slash the budget of a group like this? They would have to be utterly corrupt and evil–or just totally out-of-touch with the city. All of those words can be used to describe current mayor Bill de Blasio, who in his youth had Marxist ties.

This is what you get when you elect a radical to lead the biggest city in America. But it seems like the people of New York are done with woke politics. Their only hope, however, is to fire these leftists who make it their life’s work to shove socialism down our throats.

If they were smart, New York would elect a strong conservative to run the place. It might be unlikely, but we can always dream.
