Psaki Takes a Play From Biden’s Book – Starts Running From Uncomfortable Questions

It’s not a secret that crime has been going up ever since last year. If you live in one of several major cities, you have seen crime skyrocket. Homes are no longer safe. Cars are constantly getting broken into. And even stores, in nice neighborhoods, are being rocked by smash-and-grab gangs.

Democrats don’t seem to know why this is happening. The rest of us, the people with brains, know exactly why. This is one of many crises that has started, thanks to Democrats’ broken and failed agenda. The White House has done little to address the problem. Joe Biden even once claimed the rising crime wasn’t even real.

Recently, the White House press secretary was pressed about this issue. Despite being asked many times, she refused to admit what was the underlying cause of this crime epidemic.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki dodged addressing reasons why crime has been seemingly skyrocketing in cities across the U.S. during a press conference on Monday.

“Do you think it’s possible that these cities are dealing with these smash and grab robberies right now, an increase in criminal activity, because some prosecutors are too soft on crime?” Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked.

“I would say we have seen, I’m not going to attribute the reasoning from here, what I will tell you is we have seen an increase in crime over the course of the pandemic…”

“What good does it do if you’re going to give police departments extra money, if they arrest bad guys, and they bring them to jail, and then they’re not prosecuted?” Doocy pressed. “They’re just right back out on the streets.” […]

As usual, Psaki refused to answer a legitimate question. This is an issue that every America is facing. An issue that cannot be easily ignored or swept under the rug. But Psaki, like most Democrats, pretends like they are doing something about it.

The reason crime is surging in cities across America is because of bad liberal policy. Long before they started defunding police, Democrats in DA offices pushed changes that rewarded criminals. From coast to coast, cities and states eliminated bail for many crimes, releasing criminals the same day. In some places, like Los Angeles, the district attorneys are aggressively trying to decriminalize a variety of criminal acts.

In San Francisco, they passed a bill making shoplifting and other petty thefts no longer felonies. That has led to so much crime, stores are just closing. That is why we have roving gangs looting like there’s no tomorrow.

Psaki is several steps behind. She thinks that the defunding movement was the only thing affecting crime. And that promising to help fund PDs would make the problem go away. But she is ignorant of the fact that, even with cops on the streets, crime will still rage if criminals aren’t being prosecuted.

This is a bigger problem that the White House is willing to admit. And it’s not going to go away because they ignore it.
