NBC Slams Psaki Over Biden’s Weak Response to Ukraine

You know it’s bad when liberal reporters are fighting back against a Democratic administration. But with Joe Biden, all the rules are off. His failed presidency is getting so bad, even leftist news outlets are getting frustrated. We’ve seen glimpses of this throughout last year when liberal reporters refused to shield Biden from dismal economic reports and approval ratings. But with Biden showing a shocking lack of leadership over Ukraine, the MSM is really starting to lose its patience.

Jake Tapper of CNN refused to accept Blinken’s response to Russia’s war crimes. But worse than that has been Biden himself. He essentially gave Putin the green light to invade in January. His limp-wristed backtracking throughout February was clearly not enough. Now, as Russia rolls over Ukraine, Biden has not shown a fraction of the leadership needed to push back against a tyrant like Putin.

And even one NBC reporter has had enough.

Press secretary Jen Psaki rebuffed NBC News White House correspondent Kelly O’Donnell for suggesting that the Biden administration’s plan to manage Russia’s continuing invasion of Ukraine was essentially to “just watch this get worse.” […]

“Can you give us any sense of a timeline or a triggering event that would result in this policy change regarding Russian oil and any decisions that may be forthcoming?” […]

“I think our continuing concern continues to be — you know, everybody wants to hold President Putin and the Russian leadership accountable. Everybody supports the efforts that the Pres — President Biden has been leading around the world to take — put in place crippling financial sanctions, and they have had an enormous impact.” […]

“Can you speak to how the President has steeled himself, hardened himself, if you will… Americans who are concerned about the atrocities that are taking place, the loss of life, the civilians that are being affected. Does the U.S. just watch this get worse? Is that what we should all be prepared for?” [Source: Daily Wire]

Finally, some MSM reporters actually trying to hold Biden’s feet to the fire. Despite all of Psaki’s talk, the American people just see Biden sitting back and doing nothing. Even O’Donnell seems to think that way, saying America’s policy is to sit back and watch this war get worse. Never in our lifetimes have we seen an American president sit back and let war rage in an ally nation’s borders.

Not even Clinton nor Obama would let this happen. But because of Biden’s lack of leadership ability, vision, and (let’s just say it) mental capacity, we have a “president” who is unable to properly push back against a power-hungry dictator like Putin.

This doesn’t mean that the American people want to be dragged into a war. But at a certain point, strong measures need to be taken to prevent Putin from doing so much damage. How long before we have no choice but to get involved? Does Ukraine have to fall? Poland is next. Then France. How many European allies need to fall into Putin’s hands before America does more?

Not that long ago, another world leader was invading nations across Europe. And, much like today, the American people didn’t want to get involved. It took conflict reaching our own soil before we finally realized, we had no choice. Do we need another Pearl Harbor before Biden—and America—wakes up?
