Manchin Turns on Biden Again–Blames Joe for Rapid Inflation

Joe Biden has had a very hard time explaining to Americans why prices are going up. He seems to think we’ll buy the line that Putin’s invasion of Ukraine is affecting the value of the dollar. Biden wants us to forget that inflation was triggered last year, soon after he flooded the economy with 1 trillion new dollars.

Other factors added to inflation, too. But they were all Joe’s fault. He fumbled on the supply chain, gas production, and getting people back to work. Yet, instead of working to reverse these mistakes, Biden denies responsibility and pushes more failed ideas. Now, moderate Sen. Joe Manchin is firing back.

Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin on Tuesday afternoon blamed the Biden administration for the record inflation numbers reported earlier this day, saying it “failed to act fast enough.”

“The Federal Reserve and the administration failed to act fast enough, and today’s data is a snapshot in time of the consequences being felt across the country,” said Manchin, a moderate in a heavily Republican state. “The American people deserve the truth about why record inflation is happening and what must be done to control it.” […]

“Let me be clear, inflation is a tax and today’s historic inflation data tells another chilling story about how these taxes on Americans are completely out of control,” the West Virginia senator said…

“It demands the administration and Congress, Democrats and Republicans alike, support an all-the-above energy policy because that is the only way to bring down the high price of gas and energy while attacking climate change.” [Source: Just the News]

Manchin was brutal in his criticism of Joe Biden and the Federal Reserve. He blamed Biden for not acting fast enough to confront rising prices. He also rebuked his party who still wants to spend more tax dollars, even as inflation rages. Manchin, as he has said in the past, is reject more government spending as inflation continues to rise.

He went on to call for an “all-the-above energy policy.” It seems this Democrat wants Biden, Democrats, and Republicans to increase American energy production. That would be nice. Biden’s policies shut down America’s fossil fuel industry, with heavy regulations and restrictions. But if Congress managed to overrule Biden’s agenda, they could get American oil companies working again.

In fact, now is the perfect time for America to be producing more oil. With Russia refusing to back down in Ukraine, America can choke off its source of revenue by selling oil to the world. You’d think Biden of all people, who frequently complains about Putin, would embrace this idea. The fact that he doesn’t prove he really isn’t concerned with Putin.

Or with American energy. Or inflation. He’s just a puppet for the establishment, who wants to weaken America’s competitiveness around the world.

Manchin’s going to have to do much more to turn this around.
