Anyone with half a brain would suspect Joe Biden is done for. The man has failed to make good on even minor campaign promises. His whole “build back better” agenda has gone down in flames. And Americans blame him for endless crises, both at home and around the world.
But, if you were to ask old Joe, he’s a shoo-in for re-election. He continues to maintain he will not only remain viable for 2024, but easily win. I suppose his handlers are hiding from Joe the many, many horrible approval polls that have hit his administration since last year.
And despite these realities, some Democrats continue to pretend like Joe will be up for another run.
Some Democrat senators on Thursday came out in support of President Joe Biden’s 2024 presidential bid despite objections from their allies in the establishment media.
“I look forward to working hard for Joe Biden’s re-election in 2024,” Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) told the Hill.
Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) also told the publication that “he’s going to be the nominee and he’s going to be strong.”
Yet many establishment media outlets have issued warning that Biden should not run in 2024, citing age, lack of excitement, and failing track record. [Source: Breitbart]
Lol, this is pretty rich. Even establishment, left-leaning, mainstream media outlets are doubting Biden’s chances in 2024. If his horrible approval numbers don’t tank him, his failing mental health and just plain old age will.
Yet there are several Democrats who blindly back the man. Not only for a race, but a win. Clearly, they are out of touch with reality.
Let’s go over a few details. Joe Biden “won” the 2020 Election, thanks to extraordinary circumstances. Blaming COVID, his campaign was able to keep him out of the public spotlight for months. There were no rallies, no stops across America, none of the rigorous events necessary in the biggest election in the country.
But that won’t be the case in 2024. Biden and Democrats won’t be able to hide behind COVID. Joe will have to do the typical thing presidential candidates do. He’ll have even more reason to do them, considering how terrible he’s polling. Can this man handle such a demanding few months, when he can’t even finish a sentence?
Doubt it. And these senators who claim “he’s going to be strong” are lying through their teeth. At this point, they can’t admit Biden’s done. That would tank not only the upcoming midterms, but the rest of Biden’s first term. To admit this early on that Joe isn’t running for re-election is to admit defeat.
The rest of his time in office will be a lame duck, even if he has support in Congress. Few Democrat voters want to rally around a party that is ready to cut and run after four years.
In short, Biden and his cronies are pretending he’ll run again, just to fool voters going into the midterms. Once that’s over, he’ll bow out ASAP.
