[WATCH] Failed Publicity Stunt Highlights Newsom’s Stupidity

In what could be the greatest failure in political campaigning thus far, California’s far-left governor Gavin Newsom attempted to knock Ron DeSantis with an ad airing in Florida over the weekend.

Newsom is advertising in Florida to boost his national profile, even as he faces a re-election challenge in his home state. He is thought to be laying the foundation for a future presidential campaign.

The video ad shows a progressive Democrat desperate to raise his national profile after he took a massive hit for California’s response to the China Virus pandemic.

Newsom was often seen dining in California’s hottest and most expensive restaurants, like the French Laundry, while he ordered residents to remain indoors while businesses shuddered.

DeSantis never locked down his state, his people, or the businesses that keep Florida (and America) competing on a world stage.

Some of the highlights from Newsom’s video include a line urging Floridians to “join us in California” amid a mass exodus.

“I urge all of you living in Florida to join the fight, or join us in California, where we still believe in freedom — freedom of speech, freedom to choose, freedom from hate and the freedom to love.” As he touts California, there are images of an American flag, beaches and Newsom himself.

He went on to attack the Republican Party for “making it harder to vote” and “banning books” in a desperate attempt to convince the people of Florida that somehow Democrats are not the party of liberal fascism.

“It’s Independence Day, so let’s talk about what’s going on in America. Freedom, it’s under attack in your state. Republican leaders, they’re banning books, making it harder to vote, restricting speech in classrooms, even criminalizing women and doctors,” Newsom says in the 30-second spot.

California is currently facing a mass exodus due to high taxes, restrictive regulations, lawless streets, rampant homelessness, and much more. Major corporations are escaping the left-wing haven Newsom created — and they’re taking jobs with them.

Conversely, in Ron DeSantis’ Florida, residents experience a level of freedom only found in other GOP-led states, especially during the pandemic, when governors like Newsom insisted on locking everyone down while destroying the ability to earn a living.

We have a feeling more Americans would prefer the latter.
