Abortion Advocate Gavin Newsom Is Ordering Hollywood to Boycott Pro-life States

Let’s get one thing straight. Democrats are not the “pro-choice” party. In the aftermath of Roe v Wade’s demise, Democrats have become radical pro-abortion advocates. Some have called for the destruction of crisis pregnancy centers, groups that offer medical care to women in need.

Democrats seem hellbent on eliminating any alternative to abortions, especially for poor women. So, in effect, they have become the abortion-only party. And they are not slowing down.

Far-left Governor of California, Gavin Newsom, has long picked fights with red states. He’s banned state employees from traveling to conservative states (even though he does). And now, he ordering a major industry not to do work with pro-life states.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) demanded Wednesday that Hollywood studios boycott states that pass pro-life laws and restrictions on abortion, as he backed a five-year extension of a $1.65 billion state tax credit to the entertainment industry.

Newsom announced his support for the tax credit, and in an accompanying public advertisement titled “Hollywood: Your Values, Your Choice,” Newsom said that it was “time to choose” between California’s liberal values, and those of conservative states. [Source: Breitbart]

How interesting and pathetic. Gov. Newsom is bribing already-liberal Hollywood into not doing business in and with pro-life states. He extended a billion-dollar tax credit to these studios, while also ordering them to end their relationships with conservative states.

Movie studios often shoot outside of their sound stages in Los Angeles. And many states offer incentives to studios who shoot on location—or at sound stages in their states. Georgia has long been a popular location for big-budget films. But nearly every state tries to attract Hollywood productions, for the income that their economies receive.

But it seems Gavin is trying to “punish” red states with this movie. If Hollywood does end agreements with pro-life states maybe, just maybe those states will change their laws to accommodate Hollywood.

How elitist of Newsom to think that. I guess he’s not paying attention to Florida, which revoked Disney’s special tax status over the company’s interference with a new law. Clearly, red states aren’t at all scared of Hollywood pulling its productions from their locations.

In fact, Hollywood is in the dog house these days, for most conservatives. Movie studios have increasingly tarnished their reputations by pushing “woke” content into movies, TV shows, streaming series, and more.

Conservatives are turning more and more to alternative forms of entertainment, much the same as they did for news. If Hollywood decides to pull productions from their states—I doubt conservatives will miss them.

But, keep fooling yourself Gavin, that you’re doing anything.
