‘Socialists’ Bernie Sanders and Liz Warren Vote for Bill That Gives Billionaires Tax Loopholes

Over the weekend, Democrat senators voted to pass a sweeping tax and spending bill that will raise taxes and expand the corrupt federal government. Biden claims they are only raising taxes on the richest Americans. Yet third-party analysis proved that everyone, especially the working and middle classes, will see their taxes increase.

And all for what? So rich “green” companies get more money in their pockets.

Two senators responsible for this bill are Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. Both of them claim to be “socialists” who want to force the rich “one percent” to pay their fair share in taxes. Yet both of them voted for a spending bill that will provide the rich, once again, with plenty of loopholes.

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, an independent, and Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who have a history of knocking financial “loopholes” used by wealthy individuals and corporations, are set to vote on the Inflation Reduction Act after the measure’s carried interest tax provision that targeted billionaires was removed…

While both Sanders and Warren are likely to vote in favor of the legislation, announced last week by West Virginia Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, the pair of progressive senators have repeatedly criticized tax loopholes over the years that are used by wealthy Americans, including the carried interest loophole. Both Sanders and Warren have long criticized tax loopholes that allow the super-rich to avoid paying higher taxes. Yet both of them supported this massive spending bill that protects loopholes for billionaires.

Hmm… how are Democrats going to raise the $739 billion that this bill costs? If it’s not coming from America’s rich, guess where it’s coming from?

Most experts have said this bill raises taxes on low-income and middle-class Americans. Even people earning less than $10,000 a year will be forced to pay more taxes. Yet the richest Americans can enjoy endless loopholes to avoid paying a red cent.

How can con artist like Sanders and Warren look themselves in the mirror? For years, they’ve complained about the rich getting off the hook. Both of them ran for president, promising they would force the rich to pay their “fair share” in taxes. But when they had a chance to block a bill that continued to favor the wealthy, they didn’t.

It was Sen. Krysten Sinema who lobbied to remove a measure that ended tax loopholes for the rich. This “moderate” only back Biden’s radical spending bill, so long as her rich donors got a sweet deal. Neither Sanders nor Warren lashed out over that hypocritical move.

Which, of course, makes them hypocrites as well. You can’t claim to be looking out for “regular” people, when you refuse to help them at every turn. Sanders and Warren are no different than the corrupt elite they claim to oppose.

Because when they had a chance to put their money where their mouths were, they took the coward’s way out.
