GOP Gov. Goes Toe-to-Toe With Helpless Sanctuary City Mayors

Texas Governor Greg Abbott devised a genius plan to get Democrats involved in the disaster they created at the U.S. Southern Border.

As you know, there are no sanctuary cities in the state of Texas, and illegal immigration is not tolerated in the Lone Star state. That’s precisely why Gov. Abbott thought it best to send illegal border-crossers to Democrat-run cities that refuse to enforce federal immigration laws, otherwise known as sanctuary cities.

Sanctuary City Democrats tend to talk a big game when it comes to the rampant level of illegal immigration. Most blue states have the geographical advantage of being in the north, oftentimes thousands away from ports of entry.

Recently, Mayor of New York City Eric Adams and Mayor of Washington D.C. Muriel Bowser voiced their concern over Gov. Abbott’s plan to bus migrants into their cities. They’ve appealed to Biden’s federal government for assistance.

Mayor Adams even threatened to send illegal migrants back to Texas in a bus even after accusing Abbott of playing politics with people’s lives.

Abbott responded to Adams’ threat on Fox News.

Despite the mayors’ pleas, Abbott has not put a pause on his bussing plan.

Two buses of illegal migrants arrived in New York City from Texas early Wednesday morning.

Around 55 people were seen disembarking near the port authority in New York City.

Multiple busses arrived in Washington D.C. Wednesday morning as well.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has sent around 4,800 migrants via more than 100 buses from the Lone Star State to cities such as Washington, D.C., and New York City since mid-April.

Migrants arriving Wednesday morning on the buses were primarily individual males. Once disembarked, the migrants are processed inside the city’s Port Authority, according to Fox News. The migrants will reportedly be sent to shelters and receive IDs, medical examinations, and COVID-19 and monkeypox vaccines.

In April, Abbott said that the busing of migrants is part of his strategy to address President Joe Biden’s “ongoing failure to secure the border.”

Abbott is seeking reelection and a third term as governor. He is set to face off against former Rep. Beto O’Rourke in the midterm elections.
