The Five, a Fox News panel, condemned Wednesday afternoon the inability to protect the US-Mexico border as well as the lack of leadership in Democratic communities where violent crime has soared.
“The Democrats have argued that the Republicans are superior. The issue, as you pointed out in the A block, is something breaking through?” Greg Gutfeld, a co-host, stated. “You argue that uncontrolled immigration is breaking through, but it should have done so in 2019 when the media refused to cover the violence since it showed the shortcomings of the causes they backed. They have blood on their hands since the media and politicians supported the actions that led to this. Therefore, they are unable to report on this.”
In the past, it only took one complaint of a horrifying crime for action to be taken, but today, several reports of crimes—such as a beheading in California and sword attacks—don’t prompt as swift a response.
“At this point, all you can do is mercilessly and consistently shame the leaders. Because they are so aloof and disinterested in the violence,” Gutfeld claimed. “They aren’t the victims, therefore you have to go after them, humiliate them, humiliate them again, and never let up. Because of what is occurring to the citizens, they must be punished.”
“We are currently restricting our freedoms,” said Gutfeld. “Who hasn’t altered their way of life as a result of crime? Who doesn’t use the subway anymore? Who decides which areas are off limits? Because it means less work for them, the Democratic administration doesn’t mind if we do this. It’s time for us to begin reclaiming it.”
Judge Jeanine Pirro voiced some worry after learning that Democratic Rep. Hakeem Jeffries of New York questioned whether anyone would bring up crime after talking about the riots that occurred in the summer of 2020 following the death of George Floyd.
“You pay with your tax dollars to be secure if you want to be safe. You must fire your politicians,” according to Pirro, “if they are not keeping you safe. Because you gave them money. Dismiss them.”
