Why Are Democrats Hoping For A Trump 2024?

Since former President Donald Trump is the only candidate that Democrats have a chance of defeating in the 2024 Republican primary, Joy Behar, co-host of ABC’s “The View,” expressed her desire that Trump will defeat Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Behar said this in response to other presenters on the left-leaning program criticizing DeSantis, who has not declared whether or not he will run for president in 2024.

DeSantis, according to cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin, “is the most over-hyped United States politician,” she claimed.

Griffin said, “I want to see him sit down with an unbiased interviewer like George Stephanopoulos and really address difficult questions.” Former President Bill Clinton’s White House press assistant was Stephanopoulos.

Behar exclaimed, “DeSantis is exactly what they call a dweeb. And Trump must obtain the nomination because only then will the Democrats prevail.”

Online critics from the right wing chimed in, claiming that Behar had spoken the Democrats’ silent desires aloud.

“These people,” according to commentator Dave Rubin, “debase themselves every day. She wants DeSantis to meet with a neutral journalist such as George Stephanopolous, who also happens to work for the same network as her and was Bill Clinton’s press secretary.”

“They actually want Trump since DeSantis is the real danger,” he continued. “Also the brain-melting way she attempts to pretend DeSantis’s win wasn’t a record-breaking landslide, and how Joy states the quiet part out loud,” he said.

“They openly acknowledge they really want Trump simply because they think he’s easier to beat,” Matt Walsh of The Daily Wire wrote in a tweet.

“Joy Behar is demonstrating the skill of saying the quiet portion aloud in a masterclass,” political commentator Stephen L. Miller wrote in a tweet.
