Chris Wallace, a former Fox News personality who joined the CNN staff, has seen some of his lowest ratings since leaving the network.

The first month of 2023 for Chris Wallace and his program Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace was the worst since the program’s debut in the spring of 2022, according to the most recent Nielsen statistics. He attracted 365,000 viewers on average in January, performing even worse in the much-ballyhooed 25-54 category with 48,000 viewers on average. Wallace’s rating decline occurs only days after CNN’s nine-year low, as John Nolte of Breitbart News recently pointed out:

“Chris Licht, the new head of CNN, is particularly embarrassed by the fact that his one major initiative, CNN This Morning, is receiving terrible ratings. Don Lemon, a left-wing terrorist enabler and credibly alleged sexual assaulter, hosts the new morning program, which only attracted 331,000 viewers on average over the course of the week.”

“How awful is that?”

“Licht decided to make his first significant programming change during the time slot of the morning show that came before it, since New Day, was already a rating catastrophe. Licht probably believed he would easily win this one. After all, the ratings at New Day couldn’t possibly go any lower than they already were.”

In December 2021, Wallace made the decision to switch from Fox News to CNN+, claiming he was looking forward to the “new freedom.”

“I’m excited to be a part of CNN+. I’m eager to learn more about the streaming industry after spending decades covering broadcast and cable news,” he added. Adding:

“I’m eager to use the new freedom and flexibility that streaming offers to interview prominent personalities from the news industry and come up with fresh methods to tell stories. I’m humbled and thrilled to be working with Jeff Zucker and his fantastic crew as we begin this adventure. I’m eager to get going.”

Wallace then disclosed to the New York Times that he departed Fox News when his coworkers “began to question the reality” regarding the incident on Capitol Hill on January 6.

Wallace told The Times, “I’m good with opinion: conservative opinion, liberal view. However, when individuals begin to query the veracity — Who won the 2020 election? Was January 6 an uprising? I felt that to be unsupportable.”
