According to a letter acquired by Breitbart News, Georgia state Senator Colton Moore (R) started the impeachment process against Fulton County DA Fani Willis this week for her efforts against former President Trump.
In a message to Governor Brian Kemp (R), Moore said that he wanted to start an emergency meeting to investigate Willis’s acts in depth. This week, a grand jury in the state of Georgia charged Trump with 13 crimes.
The probe by the congressman may result in the district attorney being impeached or in the defunding of Willis’s investigation into Trump.
Moore declared in a statement, “We must cut off all funding and, if necessary, remove Fani Willis from office.”
“As a state senator in Georgia, I’m officially requesting for an emergency meeting to look into Fani Willis’s conduct,” he said. “The U.S. is being attacked. I’m not planning on sitting back and letting radical left-wing attorneys use their positions to go after their political opponents.”
In Georgia, there are two ways that an emergency session of the legislature can be called: The governor may initially call a special gathering. Second, there can be an emergency meeting if 3/5 of both congressional houses sign a letter asking for a review of what Willis did.

“We, the undersigned, are members of both the Georgia House of Reps. as well as the Georgia Senate. Together, we make up three-fifths of each house. In accordance with the provisions of Article IV, Section II, Paragraph VII(b), we confirm to you in writing, along with a copy sent to the State Secretary, that we believe there is a national emergency in Georgia’s affairs that calls for a special meeting to be called under that section to serve all purposes, including, but not limited to, reviewing the state budget.

Cliff Maloney, a seasoned campaigner who oversees America First Georgia initiatives, told Breitbart News that Moore’s attempt to retaliate against Willis is the only one being taken in Georgia to prevent Trump’s indictment.
“Finally, a leader who is taking action and retaliating against the scourge of dishonest district attorneys who are power-crazed,” he declared.
“Colton Moore represents an absolute patriot,” he said. “He must win this fight, and I urge every American who values freedom to help him.”
Trump is facing 13 major charges. If he is found guilty on all of the charges and the sentences are given one after the other, he could spend up to 76.5 years in state jail.
“The 98-page indictment was rushed by the Fulton County DA’s Office,” according to a statement from Trump.
“This one-sided grand jury presentation was based on testimony from witnesses with their own personal and political agendas. Some of these witnesses ran campaigns against the accused and/or got book deals and jobs as a result,” he said.
