Anti-Trump Lawyer Sentenced To Prison, See Why…

Michael Avenatti rose to national stardom solely by his casting himself as a left-wing lawyer single-handedly tasked with taking down Former President Donald Trump. He represented Trump’s enemies and quickly became a darling in the mainstream media.

However, matters have seemed to have worsened for Avenatti, as he is no longer on TV or an anti-Trump hero — he’s a prisoner now.

On Thursday a judge slapped Avenatti with a 2.5 year prison sentence for his role in attempting to extort Nike for up to $25 million. Federal guidelines recommend a nine-eleven year sentence for the crime Avenatti committed, so federal prosecutors will likely balk at the judge’s sentence.

Still, the judge was disgraced with Avenatti, saying his “conduct was outrageous” in a court of law. Manhattan District Court Judge Paul Gardephe claimed, “Mr. Avenatti hijacked his client’s claims and he used them to further his own agenda, which was to enrich himself by extorting Nike for millions of dollars.”

The judge adding:

“He outright betrayed his client. Mr. Avenatti had become drunk on the power of his platform, or what he perceived the power of his platform to be.”

Upon sentencing Avenatti broke down in tears, crying before the judge like the wimp everyone already knew he was.

“I am truly sorry for all of the pain I caused. I alone have destroyed my career, my relationships and my life. And there is no doubt I need to pay,” Avenatti blubbered.

Avenatti’s criminal troubles don’t stop here. He is due back in a Los Angeles court next week to begin trial for fraud and another trial later this year to address his charges of cheating his client Stormy Daniels out of a six-figure book deal.

Avenatti represented Daniels in 2018 in lawsuits against Trump, appearing often on cable news programs to disparage the Republican president. Avenatti explored running against Trump in 2020, boasting that he would “have no problem raising money.”

The defamed attorney quickly became a darling in the mainstream media for his constant rebuke of the Trump administration. He was often featured on CNN, MSNBC, and all the other greats. He was so beloved, former co-host of The View referred to him as a “holy spirit.”

Lest we forget the lawyer’s appearance on Tucker Carlson’s show where he made a complete fool of himself in front of cable news’ largest audience.

His decline came rapidly, many even forgetting he existed. Further proof of that came when Avenatti was featured on everyone’s favorite trivia show Jeopardy.
