Nothing about Biden’s Afghanistan plan has gone right. He ignored the warnings of top officials and agents. He chose the wrong time of year. Soon after our troops left, the Taliban took over the country in days. The capital city fell quickly, as the democratic government collapsed. And thousands of civilians, both American and Afghan, were left stranded as the airport closed.
But things have actually gotten worse.
After the U.S. Embassy fell, Biden had to scramble to find a way to evacuate our people. He was forced to send thousands of troops back, to organize some kind of evac process. It has not gone well, as thousands remain stranded. Some can’t even get to the airport, as traveling through the country is too dangerous.
Worse still, the Taliban won’t allow U.S. forces to remain after August 31. And to the shock of the whole world, coward Biden agreed. Now, he’s facing intense backlash from critics.
“Can’t believe the Taliban are dictating terms to the President of the United States while tacitly holding 10,000 Americans hostage using American weapons…” Daily Wire editor emeritus Ben Shapiro tweeted…
Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) added: “The world just witnessed the President of the United States take orders from a band of barbaric terrorists…”
“Completely unacceptable,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said. “Joe Biden and Kamala Harris never had a plan to get all Americans out, and they need to formulate one immediately. Leaving behind Americans is NOT an option.” [Source: Daily Wire]
The Taliban claimed that staying around after August would “provoke a reaction.” So, these killers are saying they could harm U.S. troops if we don’t leave? But if we do, we will be leaving behind Americans—to most likely be harmed?
Do you see the lose-lose situation here?
A real president would tell the Taliban to shove off. His priority would be to ensure Americans and our allies are safely transported from the country. But clearly Joe Biden has little concern for our people in Afghanistan. He hastily pulled our troops, without a plan to evacuate civilians. He left behind billions of dollars worth of military equipment, now in the hands of terrorists.
Now, he’s going to abandoned our people again, removing whatever military is currently there by the end of the month.
How are our people supposed to get out of the country, when the Taliban are in charge? The airport remains closed. It is possible commercial flights will never resume, for fear the Taliban will exploit them to stage attacks. And with this terrorist group in control of the country, Americans and our allies will not be safe.
God help Americans left behind after August. They will seemingly have no help to get out, as the Taliban solidify their power.
For Joe Biden to allow this to happen in criminal. His lack of determination to save American lives is unacceptable. Many have called for his resignation over this disaster. We know he’ll never do it, but something needs to be done.
