If you were to believe the dishonest and wildly biased mainstream media, Joe Biden won over 80 million votes in 2020. That would put him far and away ahead of every other candidate who has ever run for president—including Barack Obama. It would also mean Biden managed to muster the kind of loyalty and allegiance few politicians have ever seen, including Donald Trump.
But the last year has shown Biden has nowhere near that level of support among Americans. Not even close. Biden’s approval has never been good. But it began to crater in the Summer of 2021 when he failed to “shut down” COVID. It got worse when he laid down and let the Taliban take over a county we fought and died to defend for 20 years. When he issued his illegal mandates in September, his approval would never recover.
Clearly, Americans are not impressed with this fraudulent president. But there’s more. Biden had dismal viewership for his joint address to Congress last year. This year, he gave his first State of the Union address. And, once again, he couldn’t beat Trump.
Nielsen ratings show roughly 38.2 million TV viewers on Tuesday night watched President Biden’s first State of the Union address.
That figure was higher than the 37.2 million watched President Trump’s final, 2020 address but was roughly 7 million less than the 45.6 million who turned on his first, in 2018…

Joe Biden’s State of the Union address was watched by 38.2 million viewers. That is 7 million less than Trump’s first SOTU, which was seen by 45.6 million. Biden is continuing to trail Trump. His speech to the joint sessions of Congress in 2021 was watched by 27 million people when Trump’s was watched by 47.7 million.
You have to keep in mind that most viewers of these speeches come from the man’s supporters. For someone who “won” 80 million votes to have only 38 million tuned in for his first of three major speeches, is pretty dismal. These are people who want to hear Biden’s speech (with some interested in rebutting him). And he can’t get half of those who voted for him.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. Trump is an engaging speaker, who has a famous flair for the dramatic. Even his critics hang on his every word. Biden, on the other hand, has never been a powerful speaker. Add to that the fact that his time in office has been marked by confusion, lethargy, disinterest, and troubling gaffes. Biden comes off as a nursing home escapee, not a leader of the Free World.
Why would anyone subject themselves to that torture? These ratings, by the way, don’t tell us how long everyone bothers to watch the train wreck. It’s likely a large portion of this 38 million simply turned it off after Biden’s first gaffe. They heard him call Ukrainians “Iranians” and figured it was all downhill from there.
