…by members of his own party!
Luckily, the entirely Democrat Party has no devolved into a cadre of Far-Left radicals hellbent on spending the country into a state of devastation, all to support a president who’s barely coherent or able to form complete sentences.
For the millionth time, Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia was asked to elaborate on his lack of support for Joe Biden’s $3.5 billion social spending “infrastructure” package by members of the Mainstream Media.
These pundits, and even members of his own party, seem to think that just because you repeatedly ask the questions means Manchin will change his mind.
No such luck.
On Sunday, the Democratic senator was asked again if he’ll support President Joe Biden’s monstrous $3.5 trillion infrastructure plan. Manchin has already answered this question. Multiple times. He is a “no.” The senator even wrote an opinion article for the Wall Street Journal titled “Why I Won’t Support Spending Another $3.5 Trillion.”
Manchin has been clear about this. Yet, on Sunday, members of the press again asked if he’ll support the White House’s proposal.
NBC News’s Chuck Todd went first, pressing Manchin to respond to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who said of those who’ve balked at the bill’s price tag, “Where would you cut? Childcare, family medical leave paid for, universal pre-K, home healthcare, so important?”
“First of all,” the senator responded, “everything that the speaker has mentioned, I have voted for. We spent $5.4 trillion. And a lot of that really continues way into next year. We haven’t dispersed it all.”
Manchin went on to rip apart Biden’s bill and the unknowns that surround it. The West Virginia Democrat posed multiple questions that many Americans have about the direction of the country.
What about inflation? When is the COVID pandemic ending? Why aren’t trillions already being dispersed?

The U.S. Senate is split 50-50 between Democrats and Republicans, with Vice President Kamala Harris serving as the tiebreaker. If Manchin is a “no,” then the infrastructure bill is dead in the water.
At CNN, Manchin had the exact same conversation. It must be like Groundhog Day for this man.
Will Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer have your vote, asked CNN’s Dana Bash.

“What’s the urgency?” he added. “Don’t you think we ought to hit the pause and find out? … We don’t know about inflation, we know it’s running rampant right now, I can tell you in West Virginia inflation is running rampant, and on top of that, the challenges we’re going to have, geopolitical challenges, shouldn’t we be prepared?”
Manchin went on to destroy his fellow Democrats, saying, “If we do our jobs, there’s no way we can get this done on the 29th.”

Try as they might, journalists and his fellow Democrats can not change Manchin’s mind on the massive spending bill. Without his vote, Joe Biden can kiss his entire political agenda goodbye.
