Cowardly Capitol Police Make Moves To Prevent Freedom Convoy On U.S. Soil

Apparently a fence, a wall, or any other partition used to protect a structure or a group of people only works when liberals do it.

Fears of a traffic-stopping protest in the same vein as Canada’s Freedom Convoy have reportedly driven Capitol Police to reinstall the fencing around the Capitol, according to a report from Fox News.

From the report:

Security officials will reinstall fencing around the Capitol next week ahead of President Biden’s State of the Union address, Fox News can confirm.

U.S. Capitol Police are bracing for a potential “Freedom Convoy” truck protest to Washington D.C. for the March 1 speech. “Freedom Convoy” truckers have been protesting in Canada for weeks against coronavirus restrictions and vaccine mandates and caused a temporary blockade of the busy Ambassador Bridge border crossing between Windsor and Detroit.

Capitol Police say they are “aware” of similar protests coming to Washington D.C. and are making plans to both “facilitate” First Amendment protest activity while working with law enforcement agencies and the D.C. National Guard to prepare for Biden’s address.

Capitol Police issue a statement Friday saying that they had been coordinating a security plan for the president’s address with the United States Secret Service, adding, “Law enforcement agencies across the National Capital Region are aware of plans for a series of truck convoys arriving in Washington, DC around the time of the State of the Union. As with any demonstration, the USCP will facilitate lawful First Amendment activity.”

At the time, the statement included a comment on the possibility of the fencing being reinstalled but said that no decision had yet been made: “The temporary inner-perimeter fence is part of those ongoing discussions and remains an option, however at this time no decision has been made.” Fox News has reportedly since confirmed that the fence will be reinstalled.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi initially wanted to limit attendance at Biden’s first State of the Union address, scheduled for March 1, according to earlier reporting.

Updated reporting indicate that all members of Congress will be permitted to attend the address, however, there will be no guest tickets given to members. In addition, all attendees will be required to submit to a PCR test prior to the event and wear either an N95 or KN95 medical mask for the duration.

We are official living in a liberal police state.
