DeSantis And Trump Jr. Get Into A Heated Argument

DeSantis And Trump Jr. Get Into A Heated Argument

Donald Trump Jr. and others blasted Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) for calling reports of the former president’s impending prosecution by leftist Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg a “manufactured” spectacle that they don’t want to be a part of, calling the governor’s actions “weak.”

DeSantis chimed in on the reports of the impending indictment during Monday’s news conference, claiming that he is aware of the rumors about the indictment but has not seen any confirmed “facts” yet.

“I have no idea what will happen. But I do know this: The Manhattan DA is a Soros-funded prosecutor,” DeSantis stated, criticizing Bragg’s neglect of the criminal justice system in his district as crime is out of control in the entire city. He added, saying that it was “fundamentally immoral” for these Soros-supported prosecutors to “weaponize their authority to impose a political goal on society at the expense of public safety.”

DeSantis, though, attempted to downplay the entire story, telling reporters that he has “serious concerns” in the Sunshine State to concentrate on.

DeSantis reiterated that his administration “is not involved in this and will not be involved in this,” adding that he has “no interest in participating in some type of fabricated circus by some Soros DA.”

“I have a ton of matters pending before the legislature. I have to use my time on things that are genuinely important to others. We won’t be involved in any manner since I can’t waste my time worrying about such things,” he continued.

Donald Trump Jr. disagreed with that response, saying that it is a “serious issue” because Democrats are using the law as a weapon against the former president and potential presidential candidate in 2024.

“DeSantis believes that Democrats using the legislation as a weapon to accuse President Trump is a “created circus” and isn’t a “genuine issue,” he said of the Florida governor, adding, “Pure weakness.”

“Now we know why he’s been silent all weekend,” he continued. The eldest Trump son continued, calling DeSantis “100% Controlled Opposition,” saying “He’s entirely owned by Karl Rove, Paul Ryan & his rich funders.”

As evidence of his persistent insistence that there is no crime, Trump posted on Truth Social on Monday, “Just Out: DA Alvin Bragg collected in EXCESS OF ONE MILLION DOLLARS from the Radical Left ‘TRUMP’ hater, George Soros.”

“Bragg has strong ties to the Clinton campaign as well.” He said that “even Democrats don’t like what’s happening with the Manhattan D.A.,” saying that “Republicans and Conservatives are more Unified than they have been in many years.”

“The greatest Witch Hunt of all time is continuing with this!” Trump continued.

In a post on Truth Social on Monday afternoon, Trump responded to DeSantis’ response:

“When Ron DeSanctimonious is unfairly and unlawfully attacked by a woman, including one of his classmates who is “underage” (or perhaps a male! ), he will likely learn about FALSE ACCUSATIONS & FAKE STORIES as he ages, becomes wiser, and gains more notoriety. He’ll want to take on these outcasts just as I do, I’m certain of it!”
