Initially seen as a model for how to contest Trump, Ramaswamy has now found himself directly in Trump’s crosshairs.
Trump’s recent decision to publicly disavow Ramaswamy marks a shift in their relationship. Ramaswamy’s consistent defense and praise of Trump seemed to have reached its limit, with Trump indicating a need to consolidate his voter base, potentially due to concerns about a tighter-than-expected primary race, possibly in Iowa.
