Family Leadership Conference Sheds Light On 2024 GOP Nomination

We are still years away from the 2024 election, but people can’t get there fast enough.

I think it has something to do with the fact that Joe Biden is fumbling the presidency in an epic fashion. The numbskull is so bad at this job, Americans can’t wait for their next chance to pick a new president.

(Meanwhile, those who voted for Joe stick their heads in the sand, pretending like nothing bad is happening.)

While we marching slowly toward 2024, plenty of people are speculating who will represent the Republican Party. Whoever takes the nomination will be our best chance to get rid of the corrupt cabal that currently resides in Washington. Plenty of conservatives believe Trump will return to retake the reins.

But there are numerous rising stars of the party that could nab the nom. And they all have connections with Trump.

Possible GOP presidential candidates are already hitting the would-be campaign trail in early states like Iowa and New Hampshire nearly three years before the first caucus-goers and primary voters will make their decisions on who should represent the Republican Party in the upcoming 2024 presidential race.

Former Vice President Mike Pence, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem will all speak here in Iowa’s capital at the Family Leadership Summit on Friday—an annual gathering of Christian conservatives that helped propel now former President Donald Trump to the front of the pack at the beginning of the 2016 primaries with his summer 2015 speech here. Several prominent names will be appearing at the Family Leadership Summit in Iowa. This is one of the first key states in the presidential primaries, so many look to events like this as signs for the future. The top names who will be appearing at this event include Trump loyalists like Pompeo, Noem, and Pence.

It’s unclear whether or not these Republicans will actually try for the presidential nomination, considering their association to Trump. But many believe Pence will at least try for it. All of his activity, since leaving office, has strongly suggested he’s putting together a presidential campaign. Unfortunately for him, he might be the last person Republicans want running. A recent CPAC poll had him at zero percent.

Much of what happens in the Republican primaries depends on one thing: if Donald Trump runs again. There is not a single RINO, anti-Trumper who has a chance at winning the nomination (and none who have seriously considered running yet). But will pro-Trump Republicans run against the man—if he returns to the ring?

That is the biggest question. But if Trump does decide to sit out, then all bets are off. We could see a flood of candidates rush the primary stage. Only one, however, will end up with Trump’s endorsement.

No matter how you slice it, the 2024 Election will be intense. And it seems to already be starting.
