What did Biden say, not long ago, about helping lower gas prices? The man literally said he’d “work like the devil” to make sure gas prices go down. That was February 11, just one month ago. And weeks before he found a convenient scapegoat in Vladimir Putin. Just a few days ago, he claimed he “can’t do much” about the rising gas prices—blaming Russia on it.
What a difference a month makes, huh? Biden expects us to believe that the last year never happened. That gas prices were nice and low, until Putin invaded Ukraine. We know the truth. Biden pushed radical, environmental policies that crippled U.S. energy production. The cost for American companies to produce energy has dramatically increased under Biden, thanks to his regulations and fees.
The end result? The everyday American is getting hammered at the pump (and in their electricity bill). In fact, in the last two weeks—as Biden further crippled our energy supply—gas prices skyrocketed.
The average U.S. price for regular-grade gasoline at the pump soared a whopping 79 cents over the past two weeks to hit a record $4.43 per gallon on Sunday.
That exceeds by 32 cents the prior all-time high of $4.11 set in July 2008, AP reports…
The price at the pump is $1.54 higher than it was a year ago, with plenty of consumers pointing directly at President Joe Biden and his policies.
Stickers depicting a smiling Biden with a pointed finger captioned “I did that!” are popping up at gas pumps throughout the country as pockets of working-class Americans continue to feel the economic strain, as Breitbart News reported. [Source: Breitbart]
Gas prices are higher than we’ve ever seen. Still, the White House sticks to its false narrative that this is Putin’s fault. Show me how, Joe, show me how. You were the one to shut down drilling on federal land. You were the one who banned drilling in ANWR. You were the one who killed the Keystone XL pipeline. And you were the one who passed crippling regulation that hurt energy production.
A president shouldn’t be pushing policies that hurt Americans. Yet from day one Biden has done nothing but hamper American progress. He doesn’t seem to care how badly the average American suffers. As long as he keeps to the foolish notion that he has to be different than Trump.
Well, that’s too bad, since Trump was a successful president. Perhaps, a president who will return to office one day.
