Something deeply dangerous is happening on our college campuses, and it’s time for Americans to wake up.

At Georgetown University, a far-left gun group called the John Brown Gun Club has been posting violent, hateful flyers that seem to celebrate the assassination of conservative leader Charlie Kirk. These flyers don’t just express opinions—they threaten lives. One of them reads, “Hey fascist! Catch!”—the same phrase allegedly written on a shell casing by the man accused of murdering Charlie Kirk during a Turning Point USA event.

This isn’t just about free speech. This is an open call to violence against conservatives. It’s a clear threat, and it should horrify every American who believes in the First Amendment, in civil debate, and in the rule of law.

This gun club, named after a violent 19th-century radical, has a long history of showing up armed to left-wing protests. They pretend to protect people, but what they’re really doing is bringing deadly force into political debates. And now, they’re recruiting on college campuses, using the murder of a conservative as a rallying cry.

Let’s be clear: no conservative group would ever get away with something like this. If a right-wing group posted a flyer celebrating the death of a liberal figure, the media would be in a frenzy, and the FBI would be knocking down doors. But when the violence comes from the Left, the response is silence or excuses.

Thankfully, some are speaking up. Shae McInnis, a student at Georgetown and a leader in the College Republicans, was one of the first to report the flyers. She said, “Every conservative, everyone who just does not subscribe to the prevailing leftist orthodoxy… this is a direct threat against them.” She’s right. These flyers aren’t just about Charlie Kirk. They’re about intimidating every student who dares to think differently.

Education Secretary Linda McMahon has also stepped in, promising to hold schools accountable for allowing this kind of radicalism to grow unchecked. She’s right to act. Our universities should be places for learning and discussion, not hotbeds of political extremism and violence.

This same gun group has ties to other acts of violence too. On July 4, a dozen radicals attacked a Texas immigration center. They fired dozens of rounds at law enforcement and tried to injure federal agents. One of the suspects, Benjamin Song, has a history of far-left activism and was providing “security” at a drag event in Texas when he allegedly assaulted conservatives. He’s also believed to be part of the same gun club now recruiting at Georgetown.

This is not a one-off. It’s a pattern. From the attempted firebombing of an ICE facility in 2019 by another John Brown Gun Club member to the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the Left’s violent fringe is becoming bolder. And the silence from liberal institutions is deafening.

We must not allow this to continue. If we want to save our country, we must stand up for our values—freedom, law and order, and respect for human life. That starts by calling out political violence wherever it comes from, and making sure our schools are not safe havens for radicals who want to destroy America from within.

The murder of Charlie Kirk was an act of political terrorism. The fact that there are now posters praising it on a major university campus should make every parent, teacher, and patriot stop and ask: what kind of country are we becoming?

It’s time for action. It’s time for accountability. And it’s time for every conservative in America to make one thing clear—we will not be silenced. We will not be intimidated. And we will not back down.
