Since the fall of Afghanistan, members of the Trump administration have been very vocal. In fact, at one point, they were more vocal about what was going on than members of the current administration. As Joe Biden and Harris hid from the country, former top Trump officials blasted Biden’s mishandling of the withdrawal. Even former Vice President Mike Pence wrote an op-ed criticizing Joe’s many mistakes.
Most vocal of all has been Donald Trump, who has returned to the public eye over the summer. The 45th president has been building a formidable Super PAC and has vowed to help Republicans retake Congress in 2022. Many people believe he is also mounting a re-election campaign, which he has yet to officially announce.
Trump has severely criticized Biden’s many failures overseas. And it doesn’t look like he’s letting up yet.
“The most incompetent thing I’ve ever seen,” Trump said of the new administration’s withdrawal of American troops and civilians before an Aug. 31 deadline, “having the military leave before the civilians and all sorts of things…”
“I can’t tell you how strong we were just prior to that, when I was there,” Trump said…
“We had them in great shape,” he added. “I said, ‘If you kill an American soldier or an American it is going to be a bad, bad week.’”
Trump was also critical of Biden’s top military leaders whom he holds responsible for reportedly leaving behind hundreds-of-thousands of pieces of U.S. military equipment.
“I call them the television generals,” he said. “The ones you see on television have been horrible. But we have great generals.” [Source: Just the News]
Trump squarely puts the blame on Joe Biden and his toxic decision to hastily withdraw our troops. Under Trump, an agreement was arranged. American troops would withdraw, but only on the condition that the Taliban attack nobody. If the group pulled anything, U.S. forces would hammer them hard.
Trump has said that the Taliban knew Biden would not hold to such a condition. In reality, they were mobilizing a force 15,000 strong soon after Biden announced our withdrawal. Even Biden knew and didn’t do anything about it.
Biden also disregarded the advice of his own officials to pull troops at the worst time of the year, when the Taliban were armed and ready.
But Trump also puts the blame on men he called “television generals.” Praising our “great generals,” he seems to be criticizing the political appointees that went along with Biden’s terrible decisions. He might be referring to Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley and Biden’s DOD head Lloyd Austin. These two have been blasted for prioritizing politically correct policies in the military over our troop’s readiness.
Trump wasn’t done criticizing the establishment, however. He slammed Republican Mitch McConnel for caving to Biden and passing his $1.2 trillion spending bill. And Trump accused him of working for China.
“Mitch McConnell is a disaster… You mentioned the infrastructure, all he wants to do is survive and be good to China, because he has a lot of business in China with his family. Mitch McConnell should not be the leader. He’s done a terrible job.” [Source: Just the News]
It’s no secret McConnell’s wife is from China, with strong ties to the country. Is it possible McConnell is selling America down the river, so the communist power stays happy with him? Trump seems to think so. And McConnell’s willingness to bow to China Joe seems to prove it.
