Kamala Harris Challenged To A Debate, Her Response Is Telling

In a statement released this week, Vice President Kamala Harris stated that she would not discuss Florida’s new African American history curriculum with Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and the esteemed black scholar who developed the course.

Following a last-minute trip to Jacksonville to oppose the materials, Harris sparked a week full of false tales about the curriculum. DeSantis, one of the leading two GOP presidential contenders, then challenged Harris.

DeSantis stated, “I am formally asking you back to Florida to talk about our African American History standards. We’ll be delighted to have you stay with us in Tallahassee. I’ll invite Dr. William Allen, who played a key role in the creation of our amazing new standards. Of course, you’re free to invite Randi Weingarten or anyone who agrees with your standards stance.”

Harris rebuffed the governor’s offer to meet with him as soon as she received it, despite the governor’s assurances.

Harris stated in Orlando that “they try to legitimize these pointless debates through a proposal that just recently arrived of a politically driven roundtable. I’m actually in Florida, and I can assure you that we won’t agree to participate in any roundtable discussions, lectures, or other invitations to argue about unarguable facts. Slavery lacked any redeeming features.”

In order to raise her image nationally ahead of the 2024 presidential run, according to a report this week from CNN, Harris chose to imitate California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom’s strategy and target DeSantis.

According to reports, Harris’ team has “marveled” about the fact that DeSantis’ “opponents” have been exploiting her criticism of the curriculum “as continuous fodder for attacks.”

According to the story, “Harris has been quietly observing how other Democrats, which includes her friend and occasionally attention-rival California Governor Gavin Newsom, have captured the nation’s attention from swinging at Republicans fiercely. She has reportedly been following the headlines on the Republican primary and told Biden’s advisers that she wants to be viewed as opposing radicalism, according to sources.”

According to the paper, “Biden aides soaked up the response as well as the series of events it triggered,” which included criticism from Republican presidential contender Tim Scott and three black U.S. legislators who all supported Trump and DeSantis’ retaliatory responses.
