Karma: Blue State Looks to Reverse ‘Green’ Laws as Alternative Fuels Fail

Boy, the left really loves to champion “green” energy, don’t they? They seem to think that if you don’t drive a Tesla or have solar panels on your house, you hate the planet. The left keeps pushing propaganda that if only we all had wind turbines and solar farms, we’d all be living fat and happy.

Except we all know the truth. “Green” forms of energy production are far from able to keep up with demand. Just last year the so-called energy state, Texas, fumbled pathetically when some snow came it’s way. The reason nearly half the state was blacked out for nearly a week? All their wind turbines froze over as solar panels were covered in snow.

Learning anything, Dems?

Now, a blue state whose aggressive energy laws retired numerous fossil fuel plants is panicking. Because, the summer heatwaves are coming.

Illinois legislators are looking at how to modify the state’s clean energy laws amid warnings of electricity price hikes and possible rolling brownouts coming this summer to central and southern Illinois, but it may be too late.

Last month, Ameren Illinois said energy experts say solar and wind energy has not kept pace with generation capacity lost as fossil fuel plants retire…

“The higher energy costs that are unfolding in our state, as well as the potential for rolling blackouts in central and southern Illinois,” Nickerson said.

This is why you never vote for Democrats, no matter the circumstances. Because their ideas never work. Chicagoland Democrats, taking over Illinois’ state legislature, pushed idiotic green laws that shut down traditional power plants. As you can predict, the green alternatives will not be able to keep up with demand this summer—as spiking temperatures demand more energy.

Residents will be forced to pay higher prices, as power plants try to buy power from outside sources.

This happens everywhere green energy is put ahead of coal or oil. People need electricity. That’s just a fact. And even if we unplugged all our iPhone charges and cranked our thermostats to 90, that won’t be enough to curtail our electricity needs. We need something to give us power. And states that have strict “clean energy” laws always outsource energy, to avoid blackouts.

Hmm… if only they kept a few of those “evil” fossil fuel plants? Perhaps residents wouldn’t have to pay increasingly high energy bills? Just as inflation hammers their wallets.

Just a thought.
