After being arraigned in the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of the state of Florida, former President Trump made a visit to Miami’s renowned Café Versailles, during which Cuban Americans shouted “Happy Birthday” to him.
After departing his arraignment on a 37-count indictment related to the case involving the sensitive materials, Trump went to the legendary café, a regular gathering point for political activities in the Cuban exile community.
Major demonstrations and passionate discussions among residents take place frequently at Café Versailles. Any presidential contender visiting Miami must make this trip.
Scenes from inside the restaurant that was broadcast by WFLA show Trump greeting everyone before being greeted thunderously by many ladies with the words “I love you.”
The 45th president was at one time surrounded by what appeared to be numerous spiritual leaders, who started praying for him.
A guy stated:
“Father, we thank you for giving us President Trump to defend our country from the undetectable threat it faces. Father, we declare that communism won’t ever set foot on American soil. We are grateful to you, Father, for calling and anointing him at this time. Amen, in the name of Jesus.”
To a raucous cheer from the cafe, Trump said, “Food for everyone!” following the prayer.
Before the 45th president posed for a picture with UFC superstar Jorge Masvidal, several urged him to “keep fighting.”
The 45th president, who becomes 77 tomorrow, received a surprise performance of “Happy Birthday” from the crowd.
Trump said, “Some birthday,” adding that “The nation’s government is out of control.”
“What a terrific bunch of folks,” he said, grinning widely.
Asked about the outcome of his court hearing, Trump responded:
“I believe this is a rigged game. Our nation is corrupt. We live in a crooked, borderless country with only problems. They act this way when our country is in decline. You can also observe where the populace is. You can tell we adore the folks by where they are. You can see everyone and everything. We cannot allow our nation to continue to deteriorate as it is now.”
