Liberals Invent Another Joe Rogan Scandal While Spotify Protects Profits

Liberals Invent Another Joe Rogan Scandal While Spotify Protects Profits

We’re now veered off into incredibly dangerous territory.

In America, the idea that one entertainer is being so thoroughly maligned by one side of the political spectrum arm-in-arm with major corporations – and even the U.S. federal government – is so beyond the pale it’s hard to process.

Over the weekend, a video compilation made the rounds “exposing” Joe Rogan and his use of the “N-Word” on his popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.

The video compilation has been used by Left as evidence to justify Rogan’s cancellation from Spotify — and if they had it their way — from the face of the earth.

Joe Rogan is not a racist and while that specific word surely has a loaded history of brutal racism, it should not be weaponized as a tool to take down any non-black person who uses it. Earnest discussions about the world and how it’s used should be allowed as part of our freedom of expression.

However, it’s not the government who necessarily makes the rules any longer. While the U.S. government is arguably the biggest corporation of all, it has now relied on smaller entities to do its dirty work, thus limiting free speech from Big Tech platforms.

Spotify has decided to keep Rogan on their platform, but issued a statement “strongly” condemning any use of racial slurs regardless of the context.

Spotify Chief Executive Officer Daniel Ek sent a letter to staff after Rogan issued an apology for the second time in a week, the latest for using racial slurs after a montage video surfaced showing him repeatedly using the N-word.

Ek said it was Rogan’s decision to remove a number of past episodes from “The Joe Rogan Experience” library, after discussions with Spotify and his own reflections on some of the content in the show, including the usage of racially insensitive language.

“While I strongly condemn what Joe has said… I want to make one point very clear – I do not believe that silencing Joe is the answer,” Ek said.

Ek reiterated his stand on Spotify’s content moderation policies and said that he believes the company should have clear boundaries around the content being published. The company should take actions when they are crossed, but he cautioned that canceling voices is a slippery slope.

The company will also commit $100 million for the licensing, development, and marketing of music and audio content from historically marginalized groups, in a bid to elevate creators from a diversity of backgrounds, according to the letter, which was confirmed by a Spotify spokesperson.

Meanwhile, our cognitively deficient president is on tape using the “N-Word” on multiple occasions.

So far there’s been no attempt to cancel him even as he continues to use racially charged language during public appearances, including calling black children “colored.”

This proves once and for all that the current hysteria has nothing to do with race, but a top-down corporate effort to keep free Americans in a state of submission.

Do Not Comply.

Do Not Apologize.
