While Democrats justify seizing Second Amendment rights using every ridiculous argument in the book, a recent study is exposing their lies, crushing every one of their reasons to disarm the population.
FOX News Digital published the results of a study this week that proved higher gun ownership does “not correlate with more gun violence, including murder.”
FOX News Digital compiled data from FBI stats in 2019 and reported that “many states with higher percentages of gun ownership had lower or similar murder and gun murder rates to states with strict gun control.”
Oh, no! Not the dreaded FBI statistics liberals are so afraid of!
The findings showed, “Montana and Wyoming came in the top spots for states with the highest percentages of gun ownership, with more than 66% of households with at least one firearm.” However, murder rates in both Montana and Wyoming closely compare to those with the strictest gun laws.
FOX News Digital compared Montana with Massachusetts, a state “which tied with New Jersey for lowest gun ownership in the country,” and found that Massachusetts’s murder rate was similar to Montana’s despite Montana’s higher rate of gun ownership.
Joyce Lee Malcolm, a Professor Emerita at George Mason University, uncovered similar results in her own work on gun violence in America. She claims, “Gun ownership is higher in states with fewer restrictive laws, but homicide rates also happen to be lower in those states as well.”
The professor adds: “When people are allowed to protect themselves, instances of murder with a firearm decrease.”
Isn’t that the direct opposite argument Democrats use to justify disarming the population?
In fact, New York Governor Kathy Hochul is actively ignoring the statistics presented by Professor Malcolm. Gov. Hochul held a press conference following a recent SCOTUS decision that overruled New York’s concealed carry restrictions.
Hochul was if she possessed the data to back up her claims that guns make people less safe, to which she responded, “I don’t need the numbers.”
Anne: Do you have numbers to show that it’s the concealed carry permit holders that are committing crimes?
Hochul: I don’t need to have numbers. I don’t need to have a data point to say this. I know that I have a responsibility for this state to have sensible gun safety laws. pic.twitter.com/NiCp7POO88

Meanwhile, Gov. Hochul doesn’t seem to agree with her own assertation that guns make people less safe. Here’s a video of the New York Democrat as she attends a horse race protected by an army of bodyguards all carrying firearms.

This proves, along with several other examples, that Democrats aren’t interested in the facts vis a vis gun deaths. They simply want to disarm the population.
