Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn and a major supporter to President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party, has admitted to visiting convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s private island, dubbed “Little Saint James” but more generally known as “Pedophile Island.”
According to an exclusive Wall Street Journal story, a number of high-profile, affluent entrepreneurs, entertainment leaders, socialites, and political officials had encounters with Epstein, who was discovered dead in a Manhattan prison cell in August 2019 after allegedly hanging himself.
The Journal goes into depth about Hoffman’s friendship with Epstein, saying that he visited Epstein Island and was subsequently slated to spend the night at Epstein’s Upper East Side apartment in December 2014.
Hoffman, who is worth $2.1 billion, claimed his last connection with Epstein was in 2015, when he brought the convicted sex offender to a dinner with other Big Tech leaders in Palo Alto, California.
According to the Journal:
“According to the documents, Epstein planned for Mr. Hoffman and Mr. Ito to go to his remote island in March and November of 2014.” On the second time in question, Epstein planned to go from Palm Beach to the island for the weekend and then go back to Boston with both men.”
“On Dec. 4, 2014, when the venture capitalist’s flight was scheduled to arrive at night in New York, Epstein scheduled for Mr. Hoffman to stay there overnight at his townhouse,” according to the filings. According to the records, Mr. Hoffman was slated to go to a “breakfast party” along with Epstein, Gates, and other people the next morning.”
Hoffman said to the Journal that he went to Epstein Island on a fundraising trip for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), but he apologized for ever meeting Epstein.
“It gnaws at me that, by giving him my association, I aided his reputation and, as a result, delayed justice for his victims,” Hoffman said to the Journal. “While I depended on MIT for their endorsement, I am the one who made the mistake, and I’m very sorry for my misjudgment.”
