Barack Obama just stepped back into the spotlight — but not to bring people together or support justice. Instead, he’s campaigning for a man who should have no place in public office. Obama traveled to Norfolk, Virginia, to stand beside Jay Jones, a Democrat running for attorney general. But here’s the problem: Jay Jones isn’t just some regular candidate. He’s a man who was caught sending violent text messages saying he wanted to kill his Republican opponent and harm his family.

Let that sink in.

Jones, a former state delegate, actually wrote that he wanted to put “two bullets to the head” of Speaker Todd Gilbert. He even talked about doing terrible things to Gilbert’s children. This wasn’t a joke. This wasn’t taken out of context. These were cold, cruel threats sent in writing. And yet, Barack Obama thought it was a good idea to stand next to him and ask voters to support him.

This isn’t leadership. This is shameful.

And Obama isn’t alone. Senator Cory Booker from New Jersey also endorsed Jones recently, calling him a “rising star.” What kind of star threatens to kill a fellow American over politics? The answer is simple: not one we want in office. But to Democrats, it seems that as long as you’re on their side, anything goes.

Let’s be clear. If a Republican had done what Jay Jones did, the media would be screaming. The left would demand that person resign, get canceled, and maybe even be arrested. But when it’s a Democrat? Suddenly, it’s forgive and forget. No accountability. No consequences. Just applause from the party elite.

This is exactly what’s wrong with the Democrat Party today. They talk about “decency” and “unity,” but they only apply those rules to Republicans. For their own, they make excuses. They cover up. They move on like nothing happened.

Obama’s rally wasn’t just about Jay Jones. He also backed other far-left candidates in Virginia and New Jersey. These are people who support radical things like defunding the police, letting abortion happen at any time, and pushing anti-parent policies in schools. These ideas don’t help American families. They hurt them. And now, Obama is out there trying to make these dangerous policies sound normal.

This isn’t about politics anymore. It’s about right and wrong.

If a man can threaten another man’s life and still run for attorney general — the top law enforcement job in the state — then the law means nothing. If the leaders of the Democrat Party can support that kind of behavior, then what does that say about their values?

The American people, especially the good people of Virginia, deserve better. They deserve leaders who respect the law, protect families, and stand for truth. They don’t need someone who jokes about murder and then shrugs it off with an apology.

Election Day is coming. Virginians will have to decide: do they want someone who upholds the law or someone who once talked about breaking it in the worst way imaginable? Do they want peace and safety or threats and chaos?

The choice is clear.

This is bigger than one race. This is about the kind of country we want to live in. Do we want a nation where violence is ignored if it comes from the left? Or do we want a country where everyone is held to the same standard?

The Democrat Party has shown us who they are. Now it’s time for the people to show them who we are. It’s time to stand up for law, order, and American values. It’s time to vote for leaders who love this country and respect its people. Enough of the double standards. Enough of the lies. Let’s put America — and truth — first.
