Paxton Takes Action: Man Wins Women’s Contest in Texas

In Texas, something outrageous just happened, and thankfully, Attorney General Ken Paxton is stepping in to fix it. At the 2025 World’s Strongest Woman competition in Arlington, a man who claims to be a woman was allowed to compete against real women—and he won. Yes, you read that right. A man, Jammie Booker, walked away with the top prize in a women’s championship. That’s not fair, not right, and not American.

Texas isn’t standing for it. Paxton has launched an investigation into how this happened in the first place. His office is looking into “any and all actions” needed to protect women’s sports in Texas and across the country. That’s exactly the kind of leadership we need in this fight. When the system fails women, strong leaders step in and say, “No more.”

Booker may have been smiling on the winner’s podium, but the second-place finisher, Andrea Thompson, knew what was really going on. She didn’t even want to stand next to him. In a video from the event, she can be faintly heard calling the whole thing what it is: garbage. And she’s right. It takes years of hard work and training to compete on that level, and then a man shows up and takes it all away in an instant.

The event organizers later admitted they made a mistake. They said they didn’t know Booker was a biological male, and if they had, he never would’ve been allowed to compete in the women’s division. That’s a good start, but it’s too little, too late. The damage is already done. This kind of thing has been happening too often, and it has to stop.

We are in a battle to protect women’s sports—and more importantly, the truth. Men are not women, no matter how they dress, what they say, or what they believe. Biology is real. There are two sexes, and pretending otherwise is not just dishonest—it’s dangerous.

Kim Jones from the Independent Council on Women’s Sports said it best. She said that female athletes deserve honesty and the guarantee that their competitors are actually women. That’s common sense. Sports should be fair. That’s what Title IX was all about—giving women a fair shot. Now, the left is tearing that down by letting men invade women’s spaces.

Let’s be clear: this isn’t just about sports. This is about truth. This is about protecting our daughters, our wives, and our sisters. They deserve their own spaces, their own competitions, and their own respect. Letting men into women’s sports is an insult to every woman who ever trained, competed, and sacrificed to get where she is.

Some women are starting to fight back. In another event last year in Tennessee, a female disc golf player named Abigail Thompson walked off the course rather than compete against a man pretending to be a woman. That’s the kind of courage we need more of. Women must stand up and say, “No more.” And men must stand beside them and defend what’s right.

This is bigger than one weightlifting contest. It’s about what kind of country we want to be. Do we want to be a nation that tells the truth and protects women? Or do we want to be a nation that lets lies and confusion tear us apart?

The radical left wants to erase the differences between men and women. They want to destroy basic biology and force us all to play along. But we don’t have to let them. We can fight back—with our voices, our votes, and our values.

Thank God for leaders like Ken Paxton who are willing to say what so many are afraid to say. If we want to save women’s sports, save our culture, and save the truth—we must stand strong, stand proud, and say enough is enough.
