All Americans, regardless of party affiliation, concur that parents should be informed if their child would prefer to identify as the other sex.
An American study by Harvard Harris found that 87% of registered voters think parents “have a right to be informed” if their child wants to change sex. 84% of Democrats, 91% of Republicans, and 85% of independents all agree.
The poll was given to 2,103 eligible voters.
In response to the question: “Do you believe that the rise in the number of children changing their gender is due to the suppression of children in the past or the encouragement of gender nonconformity in children today?” A lot of people (60%) said that kids “are being encouraged to alter their gender in the present day.”
Forty percent say they were “suppressed before.” Democrats (58 percent) are more likely to agree with this than Republicans (23 percent) and independents (37%). It’s true that kids “are being persuaded to alter their gender these days,” according to 42% of Democrats, 77% of Republicans, and 63% of independents.
Far-left states are pushing and enacting laws that do just that, even though most Americans don’t agree with the idea that gender ideology is more important than family rights. Additionally, in August, a group called Parents Defending Education released a study that said more than 1,000 school districts throughout the US have rules that make it clear that staff can and should hide transgender students’ identities from their parents. There are 18,335 schools and 10,712,558 kids in this number.
A recent survey indicates that a majority of American voters support states’ efforts to “ban all gender transition procedures for minors as well as stop discussing gender ideology in all of the public schools.” Additionally, a small percentage of voters support allowing minors to undergo medical procedures related to gender identity, even if their parents give their consent.
The majority of Americans also think that a person’s legal sex is determined by biology rather than a personal sense of “gender identity.”
