Republican Governor Turns on State–Ensures He Won’t Be Re-Elected

You don’t have to be a feminist to realize that letting “transgender” women compete with biological females is a bad idea. Many of these athletes, students in high school and college, are much larger than their competitors. They outweigh them by tens of pounds and have several inches to their advantage. These give them an incredible advantage over biological females who, let’s face it, lack the testosterone flowing through these transgender people.

(Keeping in mind, most schools do not require much for a person to call themselves “transgender.”)

Republicans have fought back against this growing trend. And Democrats should too if they really cared about women’s rights. Women’s sports are becoming a mockery as biological males dominate. They are even beating women at the Olympics, making the once-storied games a joke. Many red states have passed laws to at least protect their sports. But one Republican is about to veto a much-needed law, ensuring he won’t be back for re-election.

Utah GOP Gov. Spencer Cox is vowed to veto legislation that would ban biological males from women’s sports…

Cox, who unlike many of his Republican colleagues, is opting to veto legislation that would keep biological males away from young women’s sports teams.

“I just want them to know that it’s gonna be OK,” he told the Associated Press about transgender students…

Cox said he was surprised last week when, following the creation of a commission of experts in Utah to make decisions on individual transgender student athletes, the legislature passed an amended version of the bill that included an outright ban on transgender student-athletes competing on girls’ teams. Naturally, this move by Gov. Cox makes no sense. Public opinion is largely on the side of banning transgender women from competing alongside biological women. Only the far-left, who are terrified of being labeled “transphobic” by the gay cabal pretend to care about this issue. So, there must be some underlying reason for his opposition to this law.

Chances are, he is woefully out of touch with the country and thinks vetoing this law is the right thing to do. A typical RINO would care more about appeasing the corrupt political establishment (which leans left), than supporting the views of their voting base. Cox is probably more concerned with making the D.C. swamp happy (if he plans on running for higher office in the future), than what is right.

Still, this is political suicide in a conservative state. Considering both Utah’s Senate and House passed this law, it should be a sign to Cox that voters support it. Republicans wouldn’t have even bothered if they didn’t. By vetoing this law, he is ensuring not a single Republican with a daughter will vote for him again.
