President Biden would not be allowed to settle Palestinians in American cities under a proposal proposed in the Senate by Senator Steve Daines (R-MT), the head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC). Republicans are becoming more in favor of the bill.
Breitbart News reported last week that Representatives Tom Tiffany (R-WI) and Andy Ogles (R-TN) were going to introduce the “GAZA Act,” which stands for “Guaranteeing Aggressors Zero Admission.”
Both the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Biden’s senior staff would be prohibited under the proposal from granting visas to individuals holding passports issued by the Palestinian Authority and from facilitating the entry of Palestinians into the US through a parole system.
This week, Daines said he would be proposing the GAZA Act in the Senate.
In a statement, Daines stated, “During my most recent visit to the southern border, I discovered that since the beginning of October, the Border Patrol has met individuals from Iran, Lebanon, Somalia, Syria, Libya, and Yemen, among other places.”
“In fiscal year 2023, they caught more than 151 individuals whose names were on the terrorist watch list. Today, Hamas carried out terror attacks on Israel. It is clear that terrorists will do anything to hurt the US and our friends.”
“We must take whatever action needed in order to safeguard the American people from such threats and compel the Biden administration to shut down our borders to all potential threats that could jeopardize our national security.”
A lot of Republicans in both the House and the Senate back the plan.
In a tweet this week, Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), for example, said he might back such a plan. He said that the U.S. needs to “Stop importing individuals” who “back terrorist killers” like Hamas.
Republicans Sens. Tom Cotton (R-AR) along with Marco Rubio (R-FL) have gone so far as to say that the Biden administration should start deporting those with visas that support Hamas in addition to refraining from resettling Palestinians inside the US.
