Deporting foreigners is the hill that the Democrat Party is willing to die over. Without massive hordes of illegal aliens voting for Democrats, they cease to exist as a viable political entity. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has announced that Democrats will initiate a partial government shutdown in a matter of days. They’re demanding that ICE be defunded and all foreign scum must be coddled in perpetuity. Unfortunately for Schumer, some House Republicans have learned from the Democrats’ dirty tricks. This is a big deal.
At issue is the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) appropriations bill. It needs 60 votes to advance in the Senate. ICE and the Border Patrol are DHS sub-agencies. Democrats are refusing to fund the national security bill unless Republicans cave to their demands, by defunding ICE and the Border Patrol.
As we’ve reported previously, the Democrats are now an insignificant, fringe third party in America. Republicans and Independents outnumbered them in the 2024 election. Almost no one supports their platform of coddling new foreign illegal arrivals with cradle-to-grave Universal Basic Income (welfare), castrating children, and forcing middle-school girls to shower with hairy men who wear dresses in their spare time.
The only way that Democrats hold onto any power is through illegal aliens voting in our elections. So, this really is a “do or die” issue for them right now.
Schumer thinks he’ll be able to force Republicans to defund ICE with this government shutdown. The Democrats need the illegal alien votes, as well as their sheer numbers for census counts. They could lose as many as 20 (or more) House seats and electoral college votes if Trump’s mass deportations succeed.
Here’s where the looming shutdown gets hilarious.
The DHS appropriations bill will be rejected by the Senate unless seven Democrats defect. Under procedural rules, the bill then goes back to the House. The House is then allowed to attach rules to the funding bill that the Senate cannot remove.
A bloc of House Republicans, led by MAGA Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), now plans to add the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act (SAVE Act) to the DHS appropriations bill.
For those who don’t remember, the SAVE Act will require all Americans to prove their citizenship in order to vote in federal elections. This is a simple and ingenious plan to prevent foreigners from voting. The Democrats will not be able to strip the SAVE Act from the DHS appropriations bill.
How long do you suppose Chuck Schumer can hold out on a partial government shutdown that forces the national security workers at DHS to work without pay?
Every ICE agent, Border Patrol agent, HSI agent, and almost all other employees at DHS are considered essential personnel. Even if Democrats shut off DHS funding, those employees still have to work. Deportations will continue. Federal employees will suffer for a month or two, because they’ll be on the job and waiting for their back pay after the shutdown ends.
The Democrats always blink eventually when they throw these tantrums and shut down the government. They shut down the government twice during Trump’s first term. They just shut the government down from October 1 through November 12 last year, for a total of 43 days.
Pressure will be mounting on Democrats in the Senate the entire time that DHS is working without pay (but not truly “shut down”). They’ll cave eventually. It might take a month or two, but they always cave.
The Senate Democrats will have to ultimately vote to fund DHS. All it will take is seven defectors. But this time, the SAVE Act will be attached to the DHS appropriations bill.
This will nuke the Democrat Party from orbit. States like California, New York, and Michigan swell their voter rolls by registering illegal aliens to vote when they give them driver’s licenses. All those foreign voters will be kicked off the rolls when they can’t verify their citizenship.
Long story short, if Chuck Schumer shuts down the government, he will be driving the final nail into the coffin of the Democrat Party. They’ll be forced to pass the SAVE Act as part of the DHS bill, and then it’s all over for the party of foreign rapists.
So, go ahead, Chuck! Shut down funding for DHS!
