Shocker: Florida, GOP States Best COVID Record, Dems the Worst

It seems like COVID is no longer useful to Democrats to push their agenda. Americans quickly stopped fearing it over a year ago. Many people protested lockdowns and mandates. Biden prolonged the fearmongering so he could use COVID as an excuse for his failings. Now, he has Putin to blame.

Even liberal-run states, who harped on mandates for years, are backing down. It doesn’t even seem like masks are all that important, after Democrats told us they “saved lives.” I guess when the numbers no longer suggest COVID is the end of the world, you have to move on.

But now that we can look back, we are learning a great deal. And guess which states handle COVID the best? The ones Democrats attacked again and again.

A new report that ranks each state’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic has revealed GOP-led states, including Florida, among the top performers, with Democrat-led states dominating the bottom of the list…

“The Report Card on the States measures and compares state performance on three metrics: the economy, education, and mortality from the virus…

“The states that received an F grade were New Jersey, New York, California, Illinois and Washington, D.C. These states performed poorly on every measure. They had high age-adjusted death rates; they had high unemployment and significant GDP losses, and they kept their schools shutdown much longer than almost all other states…

“The top performers were Utah, Nebraska, and Vermont with Montana and Florida right behind.”

A total of 18 states received a grade of A or B. Of the top-ranking 18 states, 16 are led by Republican governors. No Democrat-led states appeared in the top five. [Source: Daily Wire]

Well, what do ya know? This new study reveals that, of the top performers in COVID response, 16 out of the top 18 were run by Republicans. No Democrat-run state was in the top five. And the worst-performing states were run by Democrats, including (you guessed it) New York, California, and Illinois.

The “biggest mistake” this study found was the “long-term closing of businesses and schools.” They found that shutting down a state’s economy and education did tremendous damage, while doing nothing to “slow the spread” of COVID. Gee, I could have told you that two years ago.

On top of that, these liberal states had high “age-adjusted death rates.” Meaning, even with all those lockdowns, mandates, and Constitution-killing measures, they did worse on fighting the virus.

Ironically, pandemic literature from 2019 and earlier told us this. You don’t lock down a community. In fact, you keep things as normal as possible. But the hysteria triggered in early 2020 was too loud to ignore, for some states. They preferred to tank their economies and sabotage their children’s futures, for no reason.

Of course, the mainstream media will most likely not touch this report. Many of them still claim all the nonsense was needed. At the very least, they refuse to admit they were largely responsible for the fearmonger that crippled our society.

But we won’t ignore it.
