A constant stream of pure hypocrisy is required to fuel the left’s bullsh*t machine and no one represents that better than Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, better known as AOC, made waves when she entered Congress as a total political outsider. She was just your average waitress in New York’s inner city with a penchant for socialism and a craving for left-wing politics.
She entered Congress and immediately called for tax rates up to 70% for America’s highest earners to fund her ridiculous Green New Deal policies.
AOC experiences constant agony over America’s billionaires despite the countless jobs and numerous innovations they bring to society. She even attended the ritzy Met Gala wearing an evening dress with the phrase “Tax the Rich” painted on it.
Despite her endless whining about the rich paying taxes, it appears AOC is herself a tax cheat. The Democratic Socialist has failed to pay an overdue tax bill and fines are continually compounding. As of Wednesday afternoon, AOC’s tax bill swelled to a whopping $2,461.
Brook Avenue Press, a publishing house specializing in children’s books, received a tax warrant from New York state in 2017 for failure to pay $1,618 in corporate taxes.
The state filed its tax warrant against Ocasio-Cortez’s defunct business about two months after she launched her successful primary campaign against former Rep. Joe Crowley.
The money that AOC refuses to fork over could be used for transgender healthcare, child chemical castration, out-of-womb abortions, or whichever psychotic left-wing cause she’s plugging at the time.
Meanwhile, she initially agreed to pay her outstanding corporate tax bill, but later changed her tune, claiming the warrant was issued “in error,” according to AOC’s spokesperson.
She did however own up to being the founder of Brook Avenue Press, thus admitting full responsibility for the delinquent bill. AOC reported previous business dealings on her House financial disclosure report.
Despite constant virtue signaling about her days as a bartender, AOC is doing just fine as a congresswoman. The socialist rep. has earned $522,000 in untaxed income in the previous three years alone, all funded by the taxpayer.
It seems AOC has a fundamental lack of understanding as to how socialism works.
