When it comes to keeping God out of schools, Democrats practically trip over themselves to make sure any mention of faith is squashed, silenced, and scrubbed from the classroom. For years, they’ve fought tooth and nail to keep even the most casual nod to faith out of public schools, all while pushing everything from gender ideology to CRT. Why the hostility? It’s simple: a belief in God means there’s a higher power to answer to, and that doesn’t sit well with the left’s “you-do-you” worldview.
Take prayer in schools, for instance. The left likes to claim that allowing students to pray or mention God would somehow “violate” the rights of others. But, come on—no one’s forcing anyone to believe anything. Kids should be able to express their faith, whether that’s bowing their heads in prayer or saying grace before lunch. Democrats say they stand for “freedom of expression,” but when that expression involves God, suddenly it’s a “violation.”
It goes deeper than that, though. Faith builds character, teaches respect, and instills a sense of responsibility—values that the left doesn’t seem too keen on. Instead, they’d rather have kids focus on their “personal truths,” “exploring identities,” and questioning authority (which, by the way, is only encouraged when it’s authority from the right). A generation raised with no moral compass is easier to manipulate, and that’s exactly what the Democrats are after. They want a society that looks to them, not to God, for answers.
The irony here is rich: they’ll tell you that God has no place in schools because of “separation of church and state,” while happily marching in an endless parade of woke ideologies that have taken on a religious fervor all their own. If they’re so committed to neutrality, why are schools spending more time on progressive “values” than reading and math? You can guess why.
Bringing God back into schools would disrupt this little game. Faith in a higher power provides stability, hope, and values that help kids grow into responsible adults. Kids who learn that there’s a moral standard, that there’s right and wrong, aren’t as easily swayed by the latest progressive fad. They’re not going to fall for every new ideology that tells them to toss out what’s worked for generations.
Let’s be clear: the left’s fight against faith in schools isn’t about protecting anyone. It’s about control. They know that a faith-filled society won’t blindly follow their every word. They’re terrified that kids raised with faith might just grow up to question big government, resist overreach, and stand up for the freedom they were born with. Keeping God out of schools is about preserving their grip, plain and simple.
