A Senate Opportunity Fund poll, exclusively obtained by Breitbart News, revealed that likely registered voters predominantly view President Joe Biden negatively, describing him as ‘old,’ ‘weak,’ and ‘tired.’ These top three descriptions among ten options highlight Biden’s feeble public persona, which could be a significant disadvantage in the upcoming 2024 election against former President Donald Trump.
The poll, which surveyed 800 likely voters between November 21-23 with a 3.5 margin of error, also identified the top three issues among voters as inflation (49%), jobs/economy (34%), and immigration (32%). The Senate Opportunity Fund, a conservative research non-profit conducting the poll, focused on national and state-level issues.
This perception of Biden as elderly and lacking vitality aligns with internal concerns within the Democratic Party. According to Politico, even those close to Biden, including family members, are worried about the optics of his age. Although they believe he is mentally capable of handling the presidency, some admit he can appear frail at times.
The Washington Post echoes these sentiments, noting concerns about Biden’s visible signs of aging and struggles to effectively communicate his economic achievements. Additionally, there are apprehensions about the Biden campaign’s lack of significant events or organizing efforts, especially in the face of the potential challenge posed by Trump, who is 77 years old.
Recent NBC News and Fox News surveys indicate a decline in Biden’s popularity, with both polls reporting only 40% voter approval – the lowest of his presidency in these surveys. An NBC poll even showed Trump leading Biden for the first time, with 46% support for Trump compared to Biden’s 44%.
This data suggests that Biden’s age and perceived lack of energy could become focal points in the 2024 presidential election campaign, particularly if he faces Trump again.
