The Trump administration is doing what the Biden team refused to do: protect our children and enforce the law. In one of the most important missions since President Trump returned to the White House, his administration has now located over 22,000 missing migrant children who vanished during Joe Biden’s disastrous open-border years. These were children who crossed the border alone and were handed off to complete strangers—many with criminal backgrounds—under Biden’s weak policies.
Think about that. Over 22,000 kids—gone. Lost in a system that didn’t care. And now, thanks to President Trump’s leadership, thousands are being found. Some were in sweatshops. Some were victims of human trafficking. And tragically, 27 were found dead—killed, overdosed, or driven to suicide. This is the legacy of the Biden border disaster.
President Trump promised to clean up the mess, and he’s doing exactly that. He put Tom Homan, a no-nonsense patriot and the new border czar, in charge of the task force. This team is made up of brave Americans from Health and Human Services, the FBI, Homeland Security, and more. They work out of what they call the “war room” in Washington, D.C. And it is a war—against trafficking, against child exploitation, and against lawlessness.
These kids were not lost by accident. They were released into the hands of unvetted sponsors—sometimes total strangers—because the Biden administration didn’t even bother to do background checks. No fingerprints. No income checks. Not even DNA tests to prove family ties. They just handed children over. That is not compassion—that is criminal negligence.
Now, under President Trump, that’s changing. DNA tests are required. Every sponsor must show ID, pass a criminal background check, and prove they’re able to care for a child. And if that means a child stays in custody a little longer while the government makes sure they’re safe, so be it. Safety must come first.
Let’s be honest: this should never have happened. Between 2021 and 2024, more than 470,000 unaccompanied children crossed our border. That’s not a humanitarian system. That’s a pipeline for trafficking. That’s what happens when you throw open the gates and remove all consequences for illegal entry. The Biden-era policies didn’t just put our country at risk—they put children in the hands of predators and criminals.
When President Trump took over in January, his team also inherited a mountain of paperwork—over 65,000 ignored post-release reports, many warning of abuse and neglect. That backlog is now 90% cleared. That’s called leadership. That’s called putting America—and children—first.
And what is the goal when these children are found? It’s simple: reunite them with their real parents, if possible, or place them safely in foster care. But no more dumping them into the shadows. No more pretending it’s not our problem.
This is a story of government doing what it’s supposed to do—protecting the innocent, enforcing the law, and fixing what the last administration broke. President Trump’s policies are saving lives. He’s proving once again that when you put America first, everyone wins—including the most vulnerable.
The media may not want to talk about this. They’d rather ignore it than admit President Trump is cleaning up their mess. But the American people see what’s happening. We see a president who keeps his promises, who defends our borders, and who refuses to let children be forgotten.
This is what leadership looks like. This is what America looks like when it stands tall and says, “Enough.”
God bless the children who have been rescued. And God bless President Trump for making sure they’re not forgotten.
