Trump’s Bold Move: Peace or No More Aid

President Trump’s administration has made a bold move to end the war in Ukraine. This week, U.S. officials gave Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a clear message: sign a peace deal by Thanksgiving or lose American support. It is a strong and necessary stand to put America first and stop wasting endless billions on a war that does not serve our national interest.

The message came straight from Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll, who delivered it in person to Zelenskyy. The peace plan was crafted by Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and Russia’s Kirill Dmitriev. This 28-point plan is designed to stop the three-year war and save lives on both sides. But more importantly, it protects American taxpayers and puts a stop to Washington’s addiction to foreign wars.

For too long, Ukraine has depended on U.S. aid to fight a war that has no clear end. Billions of our hard-earned dollars have been sent overseas while our own borders stay open and our cities crumble. President Trump is right to say enough is enough. He is putting pressure on Ukraine to make peace now or face the consequences. And the consequences are simple: no peace, no more aid.

This is not about being soft on Russia. It is about being smart and strong for America. If Ukraine is not willing to come to the table and compromise, then U.S. support will end. That is not weakness—it is leadership. Zelenskyy has asked for changes to the draft plan, but Trump’s team is holding firm. America will no longer be a blank checkbook for foreign conflicts.

The plan does ask Ukraine to make some hard choices. It includes reducing their military size and giving up land that Russia has not even taken by force. But in return, Ukraine would get real, lasting security guarantees. And most importantly, the killing would stop. Peace is never perfect, but it is better than endless war.

Critics are already calling the plan “pure Russian.” But that’s just the old globalist mindset talking—trying to keep the war going forever so the defense contractors and career politicians can keep getting rich. The real question is this: what’s best for the American people? Do we keep throwing money into a foreign war, or do we use our power to bring peace?

Vice President J.D. Vance also spoke with Zelenskyy about the deal. Zelenskyy reportedly said he is ready to negotiate for what he called “real and dignified peace.” That’s a good sign. But talk is cheap. If Ukraine truly wants peace, now is the time to show it.

This new deal also includes a ban on NATO troops in Ukraine and a path to lifting sanctions on Russia. That may sound like a win for Moscow, but it’s actually a win for peace. It removes the excuse for more war and gives Ukraine a chance to rebuild. And for the United States, it means fewer foreign entanglements and more focus on our own country.

President Trump promised to end endless wars, and he is keeping that promise. He is using America’s strength to push for peace, not more bloodshed. That’s what real leadership looks like. The globalists and war hawks in D.C. won’t like it, but the American people will. We are tired of sending our money and weapons overseas while our own families struggle.

It’s time to put America first. It’s time to stop the war machine and start standing up for peace. President Trump is doing exactly that. Ukraine must now decide: sign the deal or lose U.S. support. The choice is theirs. But the message from the White House is clear—Thanksgiving is the deadline, and America will no longer be dragged into someone else’s fight.
