Senator J.D. Vance (R) of Ohio stepped up his efforts this week to block President Biden’s nominations for the Department of Justice (DOJ) in light of the fact that Hunter Biden received “a slap on the wrist” in his plea agreement.
Hunter Biden, the son of President Biden, will admit guilt to two tax offenses and one charge of violating a firearms prohibition, it was announced this week.
“Biden will be entering a ‘pretrial diversion program’ about his firearms offense, meaning that he won’t go to jail,” according to Breitbart News, “and will plead guilty to deliberately failing to pay federal income tax, which is likely on his overseas profits.”
Vance reacted angrily to the revelation, saying, “Any other American would’ve had the book thrown at them. The president’s son receives a slap on the wrist.”
“This is justification number 1,402 for my opposition to Biden’s DOJ picks. Our nation has a two-tiered judicial system. It’s a shame,” he continued.
During an interview on The Ingraham Angle last week, Vance maintained that stance as well, labeling Biden’s political nominees to the DOJ as nothing other than “foot soldiers” who would further politicize the agency.
To put it another way, “the political nominees of the Dept. of Justice, the way people look at these individuals is as foot soldiers for transforming the DOJ into political activism, rather than actively carrying out the job of upholding the law,” said Vance.
“Why should we provide Joe Biden with extra foot soldiers when he uses them to harass conservatives and his political rivals around the nation? It’s crazy,” he continued.
The Biden administration continues to pursue former President Trump, who anticipated the authorities would slap Hunter with “something small” to make their ongoing witch hunt against him appear “fair.”
“It’s all about interfering with elections. They are using the DOJ along with the FBI against me to influence the 2024 Election,” Trump wrote.
“They’ll use something little against Hunter in order to make their attack on me appear ‘fair.’ These fascists are neither fair nor honest in any way. FIGHT!” he exclaimed.
The new accusation against Trump was called a “moral and constitutional joke” by Vance, who also supported the idea that Biden is “using the criminal justice system to deliberately steal the 2024 election.”
