Florida In Danger: DeSantis Prepares The Military

Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida said in a press release on Wednesday that the state will be deploying resources to the Florida Keys and southern Florida to prevent any potential wave of illegal immigration from the violently destroyed country of Haiti.

Governor Ron DeSantis stated, “For a considerable amount of time, the State of Florida has been devoting substantial resources to prevent illegal boats coming to Florida from nations like Haiti. In light of the situation in Haiti, I have ordered the Florida State Guard, the Division of Emergency Management, and state law enforcement agencies to send over 250 more officers and soldiers, as well as more than a dozen aircraft and boats, to Florida’s southern shore in order to defend our state. No state has contributed more to the U.S. Coast Guard’s (underfunded) interdiction activities; illegal aliens cannot enter Florida.”

Millions of illegal immigrants have been pouring across the southern border from Central and South America, as well as the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, including China. Illegal immigration has been a significant issue that has grown throughout the Biden Administration. Texas acted alone to attempt to stem the tide when the Biden administration refused to intervene, and other states have joined Texas in carrying out the tasks that Texas is performing. Interestingly, Governor DeSantis borrows a bit from Texas Governor Greg Abbott at the conclusion of the press release:

“Due to the federal government’s unwillingness to strictly police our immigration rules and safeguard the integrity of the border, illegal aliens feel empowered to enter the sovereign territory of the United States. A state has an obligation to protect its citizens and its territory from potential invasions. Florida will operate under Governor Ron DeSantis.”

Once more, the topic of immigration will probably come up in the 2024 presidential race. There have been at least 2,000,000 illegal immigrants into the country under the Biden presidency. Given the Biden administration’s inclination to admit anybody seeking “asylum” with little to no vetting or background checks, adding an uncontrolled influx of refugees from Haiti is, to put it mildly, foolish. Now that Haiti has gone into complete barbarism, there’s no telling if some of the gang members taking over that bankrupt Caribbean country aren’t eyeing the north with jealous eyes and malicious purposes.
