Truck Drivers Warn About Biden’s Destructive Agenda

The extreme climate alarmist plans of the Biden administration, according to one truck driver, would destroy the trucking industry.

A trucker appeared on Fox Business’s “Varney & Co.” on Monday to criticize the catastrophic new “greenhouse gas” emissions rules that the Biden administration recently set. The requirements are the result of radical climate dogma.

“The White House office is not paying any attention to the customer, the end user, or the truck driver. Lewie Pugh, a board member of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA), said to presenter Stuart Varney, “They basically want to do what the radical environmentalists want.” “And it will result in a significant number of drivers losing their jobs.”

Regretfully, as we are all too aware of by this point, the Biden administration appears indifferent to the number of companies it kills, especially small ones, or the number of people it deprives of their livelihoods in its quest for a woke, authoritarian paradise.

According to Fox, “Pugh represents 150,000 independent truck drivers who operate 225,000 pieces of equipment and believe there are more operational issues than answers” with the new emissions regulations for heavy-duty trucks.

According to Fox, the Biden administration’s regulations will progressively impose stricter limitations on models manufactured between 2026 and 2032 in an effort to achieve the nearly unachievable goal of zero-emission cars. As I have previously mentioned, the mining of EV batteries is hazardous and frequently under the supervision of Communist China. Furthermore, attaining net carbon is not only impractical but also unwise because carbon is essential for all living things and there is no climate disaster (alarmists have been incorrect about projections for more than 50 years).

These facts do not affect the Biden administration’s woke advocacy in any way. School buses, trash trucks, tractor-trailer trucks, and fire trucks are just a few of the trucks and vehicles that must adhere to the regulations. By 2032, the goal is to have a significant portion of these cars run on electricity.

Pugh made the point that the Biden administration’s purported desire for an electric vehicle (EV) fleet is unachievable in terms of power supply. “Where will we impose our charges on them? That is what I want to know. A firm planned to build a terminal for thirty trucks near Juliet, Illinois. You cannot do that, the city declared. “You are going to consume more power than Juliet, Illinois as a whole,” he said.

He worries about money as well. The highway trust fund, which would cover expenses such as these, is already in danger of insolvency. From whence will the funds originate? inquired of Pugh on Fox. “We are unable to maintain our current infrastructure, so we will just install everything and hope it functions.” “There is no way this is going to work,” Pugh continued.

According to Pugh, truck drivers are “worried about their lives and their livelihoods.” And with good cause. “What takes place during the winter? These folks might freeze to death if they were stranded in a snowstorm along the route for two or three days and their battery died, the speaker warned. More woke, destructive nonsense from the Biden White House.
