DOJ Caught Abusing Civil Rights Of Jan. 6 Protestors

Liberal elite in Washington D.C. – especially those in Biden’s administration – don’t see Trump supporters as humans worthy of civil rights. They are in constant pursuit of our submission, or better yet, our death. It means nothing to throw Jan. 6 Capitol protestors behind bars without even a hint of due process.

The supposed party of empathy proves the opposite when the subject of Jan. 6 is breached. According to Democrats, anyone who participated in the Jan. 6 protests (or anyone who voted for Trump) is akin to Southern insurrectionists during the Civil War era. They see little difference, and therefore, believe protestors deserve zero empathy or fairness under the law.

The Left’s celebration of Ashli Babbitt’s murder at the hands of a Capitol Police officer proves just that.

Luckily, not everyone working in the government is a monstrous liberal just yet.

On Wednesday, A federal judge found two officials with Washington, D.C.’s Department of Corrections in contempt of court, and called on the Justice Department to investigate whether the district’s jail violated the civil rights of dozens of detained Jan. 6 defendants.

U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth of Washington acted after finding jail officials failed to turn over information needed to approve surgery recommended four months ago for a Jan. 6 Capitol assault defendant’s broken wrist.

Lamberth said failure to turn over the medical records of Christopher Worrell – who’s charged with four felonies stemming from the Jan. 6 protests — was “more than just inept and bureaucratic jostling of papers,” suggesting the likelihood of deliberate and intentional maltreatment.

Worrell was reccomended for surgery in May after he shattered bones in his wrist bust still hasn’t undergone any corrective procedures.

Former President Donald Trump and supporters have argued that jailed Jan. 6 defendants are being treated unfairly.

Lamberth ordered Quincy Booth, director of the city’s Department of Corrections, and Wanda Patten, warden of the D.C. Jail, to be held in contempt of court.

“I find that the civil rights of the defendant have been abused,” the judge said.

Adding:

“I don’t know if it’s because he’s a January 6th defendant or not, but I find this matter should be referred to the attorney general of the United States for a civil rights investigation into whether the D.C. Department of Corrections is violating the civil rights of January 6th defendants … “

The judge even suggested U.S. Marshalls move the mistreated Jan. 6 inmates if prison officials don’t correct their criminal mistreatment.

The prison in question is notorious for languid conditions, incompetence, and poor staffing practices.

Lamberth has previously scolded city officials for cutting down the number of rooms in the jail for virtual court visits, and for “incompetence of jail officials” in sending an inmate to him before results of a coronavirus test were known.

As long as Biden and the Democrats consider Trump supports inhumane, the mistreatment of Jan. 6 protestors will continue.
