Something rotten is going on in America’s welfare system, and it’s not just a local issue—it’s a national disgrace. In Minnesota alone, over $9 billion of your hard-earned tax dollars have been stolen in one of the largest fraud scandals in modern history. And while the media tried to shift the focus to President Trump’s rhetoric about Somali immigrants, eventually even left-wing outlets like The New York Times were forced to admit the truth: the system is broken, and criminals are taking full advantage of taxpayers.
Most of this fraud was carried out by Somali immigrants who came to America and then turned around and robbed the very taxpayers who gave them the opportunity for a better life. According to reports, around 80 Somali immigrants in Minnesota stole more than $1 billion in welfare funds—money meant to help the truly needy. These crooks didn’t just steal; they did it while laughing in the face of the American people. Some even ran for office back in Somalia while taking U.S. welfare funds. One so-called “non-profit” in Maine was caught billing Medicaid for services that never happened. That’s not just fraud—it’s betrayal.
And it doesn’t stop there. In Boston, two men were recently charged with trafficking over $7 million in food stamps. That’s money meant to feed struggling American families. Instead, it was funneled through a criminal operation. In Oregon, authorities found $91,000 in food stamp fraud—just in one month. Imagine what’s happening in other states that haven’t even started digging yet.
This isn’t just a Minnesota problem. This is a national crisis. And it happened because for years, weak politicians and bloated bureaucracies turned a blind eye. They ignored the warnings. They ignored the numbers. And they ignored the American people.
Let’s be clear: this is what happens when the government grows too big to manage, and when our borders are left wide open. We invite people into our country, give them access to our welfare programs, and then we act shocked when some of them abuse the system. The truth is, we have lost control of our own programs. The very people who built this nation—hardworking, taxpaying Americans—are being robbed blind, and the criminals are laughing all the way to the bank.
This isn’t about race. It’s about right and wrong. If a person—no matter where they come from—comes to our country and then steals from it, they don’t deserve to stay here. Period. And the politicians who allowed this to happen should be held accountable too. Where was the oversight? Where was the leadership?
The scale of this fraud is staggering. The amount stolen is more than ten times what the entire Somali community in Minnesota pays in taxes each year. That’s not just unfair—it’s unsustainable. If we don’t fix this now, the system will collapse under its own weight.
Now is the time for action. We need real reform, starting with strict audits of every welfare program in every state. We need to crack down on fraud with serious penalties and jail time. And we need to make sure that every person who takes advantage of the American people pays the price.
President Trump promised to drain the swamp, and this is exactly the kind of filth he was talking about. The American people deserve better. We work too hard to have our money stolen by con artists and criminals. It’s time to put America First—and that means putting the American taxpayer first.
We must restore law and order in our welfare system. We must protect our borders. And we must stand up for the values that built this country: hard work, honesty, and responsibility. Enough is enough.
