President Trump went on national TV last night to tell the entire country he wrapped up the Iran airstrikes in six weeks — and honestly? He’s earned the victory lap. Democrats, meanwhile, have spent those same six weeks proving they care more about shielding illegal aliens from ICE than keeping airport security funded while terrorism risks are elevated. One party sank a navy. The other one can’t keep the metal detectors plugged in.

Spectacular. Truly the best and brightest the Democrat Party has to offer.

Trump told reporters Tuesday the war could wrap up in “maybe two weeks, maybe a couple of days longer.” Wall Street heard that and went absolutely berserk — the Dow ripped 1,125 points higher and the Nasdaq surged 795. Investors tend to get giddy when a president talks about ending wars instead of cooking up new ones. Strange concept for Washington.

“We’re finishing the job,” Trump said. “Look what’s happening in Iran. We’re totally unchecked. Everything’s been bombed out.”

He’s barely exaggerating. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed that all 11 Iranian submarines now serve as artificial reefs at the bottom of the Persian Gulf. Rubio went on Hannity and basically read Iran’s obituary — their navy’s gone, their air force is gone, and we’re currently stomping flat whatever’s left of their missile and drone factories. Over 120 ships damaged or sunk. That’s not a war anymore. That’s a demolition project.

“It takes money to kill bad guys,” Hegseth told reporters at a Pentagon briefing when someone asked about the $200 billion budget request.  And yeah — six days of this ran $11.3 billion. Gas just cracked four bucks a gallon. Brent crude climbed 45% since the shooting started. Every time you fill up your tank right now, you’re basically writing a personal check to the Pentagon. We feel that one. Trump knows we feel it, which is exactly why he’s talking about a quick exit instead of a twenty-year “nation-building” boondoggle that turns into another Iraq or Afghanistan. 

Trump’s message to our beloved NATO “allies” was pure gold. “The U.S.A. won’t be there to help you anymore, just like you weren’t there for us,” he posted on Truth Social. “Iran has been, essentially, decimated. The hard part is done. Go get your own oil!”

He told The Telegraph that NATO is “a paper tiger” and pointed out that allied support should have been “automatic” — even though he didn’t exactly RSVP them before launching Operation Epic Fury. 

The Iranians, bless their hearts, are still doing the chest-thumping routine. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi claims Iran is prepared for “at least six months” of war and says their trust level with the U.S. is “zero.” Sure thing, Abbas. Tough to fight a six-month war when your navy is a coral reef, your air force is a scrapyard, and all of your top leadership has been sent home to Allah. 

Iran’s parliament even tried to troll Trump by announcing they’d charge ships a toll to cross the Strait of Hormuz. One Iranian lawmaker hopped on X to declare the strait would reopen “but not for you.” That’s adorable. That’s like a guy standing in the smoking crater where his house used to be, threatening to raise the HOA fees on the neighbors.

Now we pivot from laughing to genuinely angry — because while Trump dismantled a hostile regime’s entire military apparatus in six weeks, the Democrat Party managed to shut down the Department of Homeland Security for 42 straight days. Forty-two days without funding for TSA. Wait times at some airports blew past four and a half hours. The agency already hemorrhaged 480 officers who walked off the job because — and this is the part that should make your blood boil — they stopped getting paychecks.

This is the hill the Democrat Party chose to die on. Not the war. Not four-dollar gas. Not the $39 trillion national debt. Chuck Schumer and his merry band of obstructionists torpedoed airport security because ICE agents enforced immigration law in Minneapolis and a couple of people who resisted ended up dead. That’s it. That’s the entire reason every American flying this month gets to stand in a security line that wraps around to the parking garage.

Democrats ground the entire system to a halt — not for citizens, not for veterans, not for taxpayers — for people who aren’t even supposed to be here. This is who they are. This is what they do every single time. They will burn down any institution, inconvenience any number of Americans, and sabotage any government function if it scores a political point for their open-borders agenda. The party made its choice crystal clear: illegal aliens come first, and the rest of us can wait in line behind them.

So tonight we get to watch the President of the United States walk up to a podium and tell the world he broke Iran’s military in six weeks. And across the aisle, Democrats can’t even keep an airport running. The Iranians say they’ve got six months of fight left. Trump says two weeks.
