Xavier Becerra, a radical pro-abortion activist and Secretary of the DHHS shut down an ethics board of the National Institutes of Health that oversaw research on human fetal tissue. During the Trump administration, the advisory board was given authority to block such research if it was found to violate basic ethics.
In April, at the instruction of President Joe Biden, the DHHS also reversed the Trump administration’s rules which prohibited funding of intramural research that used human fetal tissue. The decision permitted the use of brains, skin, liver, eyeballs, and other tissues of aborted children to be used by the “best and brightest” government researchers in studies funded by taxpayer dollars.
In short, the Biden administration has removed all roadblocks to using aborted babies as laboratory experiments and has taken the extra measure of removing all ethical oversight.
In response to these actions, Senators Roger Wicker (R-MS) and Vicky Hartzler (R-MO) as well as Representative Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-MO) have led an effort with over 100 congressional signatories that would seek to reinstate the ethics board and demand that fetal tissue research be blocked from receiving government funding. The lawmakers request that the Biden administration adopt research practices that use “ethical, non-fetal alternatives.”
The news about Biden’s opening up of the floodgates for fetal research came about the same time that revelations about how federal agencies are trafficking aborted babies. The FDA purchases organs from dismembered babies at enormous rates from a group called Advanced Bioscience Resources. The agency has been discovered to be one of the largest fetal tissue trafficker’s in the country. Firms like Advanced Bioscience Resources act as a middleman between Planned Parenthood and the federal government, an abortion machine for twisted research.
The FDA pays as much as $2000 per aborted child, totaling about $12,000 for a harvested box of organs. The FDA specifically requests late-term babies, preferring parts from children that are 24 weeks old. For reference, most children can survive outside of the womb at 22 weeks old.
Most disturbing of all, the FDA has sought out organs from infant boys in order to facilitate “very important and… challenging” steps toward creating humanized mice.
