During an interview at the Democratic National Convention on Monday night, ABC News anchor Linsey Davis, who will moderate the initial debate between former President Trump and VP Kamala Harris, connected Trump to the Klan.
When addressing Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Davis made the connection between Trump and the Klan. She addressed Whitmer as follows:
“As you are aware, the former President Trump is expected to campaign in Howell, Michigan, tomorrow. Many people know that around a month ago, KKK demonstrators in Howell marched through the streets while wearing white robes, urging individuals to support Donald Trump. Would you mind sharing any information on that link, as well as his planned visit to Howell tomorrow?”
Identifying the issue as a “troubling approach that we see from the other side to divide us, to terrify us, and to stir fear and fury,” Whitmer seizes the opportunity to associate Trump with the Klan demonstrators.

On September 10, Davis will co-moderate the initial debate between Donald Trump and Harris on ABC News.
Even though Trump specifically condemned Neo-Nazis, and fact-checking website Snopes recently disproved the hoax, the Harris campaign has continued to promote the false claim that Trump called them “very good people.”
Joel Pollak of Breitbart News stated that President Joe Biden promoted the hoe lie once more during the Democratic National Convention.
